He's also had about 8 medicals in the last month if you read twitter.....99% of what's around is absolute bollocks....probably :D

I have to say after not taking to it too lightly I am warming to the prospect of Billy returning here. There's definitely the possibility he could help chip in with goals into double figures next season and with a quality first team striker who got 18 in the league last season already here in Done, along with a decent prospect in McNulty as cover and I think that will be enough in terms of strikers to get us promoted. Just the other end to sort out then.
 

At this rate I'm expecting this to turn out to the longest and most elaborate "April Fools" joke ever played. Mark your calendar for next year! Trust me, you'll wake up to Adkins saying "... only joking! Haha!"

IF Sharp is coming in that indicates to me that the injury to Done is far worse than we originally thought.
Still not convinced that Sharp will be as prolific as in previous seasons for other clubs.
Adkins looks like he wants to play with Higdon and a runner up top.
If so, it'll certainly create more goal mouth action if we can get the delivery right.
 
Will never understand why someone would be disappointed by this signing, but each to their own. Don't know who these people expect us to sign instead.

Personally, I think we'll own the best goal scorer in League 1 if Sharp signs on. Most exciting signing since we got relegated for me!
 
Billy Sharp is returning early from his pre season training in Austria. Is he finally coming home?

Yes, but it is different.

Bray was exciting, but ultimately he was:

A. Mid-season. Which is always different. Especially when our auto hopes were already gone.
B. In a position where we had some decent cover
C. In a position which doesn't as directly affect games.

We've been lacking a goal scorer for literally years, and Sharp is the first potential regular scorer we have had for a long long time. I'm talking 15+, which no other striker has been capable of doing before. I'm not saying he will, but he is capable!

As good as Bray is, it's a scorer we've been pleading for for years.
