Billy and ched

Out of the four league games we've played so far, Sharp has been substituted in three of them, Cardiff being the exception. That's probably why.

I think there's a legit reason. He doesn't press, or close down at the start of games. Against Brentford and Barnsley we were on the back foot towards end and needed to defend from the front.

Against Boro, he was a waste of time being on the pitch.

Was it just me that thought sharp was tiring, the chance where he didnt make it at the far post being the standout thing, so the substitution was fair in my opinion, he cant do that much work for 90 mins and start every game, wilder is looking after him but its a good sign he's dissapointed to go off isnt it.

As for the reception of Evans, roy got that spot on as many including myself hadnt seen ched in a blades kit on the pitch at the lane since you know when, it was a special thing for a lot of us, billy gets enough praise and rightly so, as captain he should encourage the fans to get behind every player, and he probably does..

Evans will come good, he's got to get an understanding with the players after missing pre season and the midfield need to adjust to where he needs the ball playing for him, twice on saturday he was pointing into space where he wanted the ball played but the ball didnt get to him, the one mistake i noticed was when him and brooks got drawn to the near post and fleck played it to the back, but its time needed to "gel"... keeping hold of brooks is key this season, he will create for Sharp, Evans And anybody else who gets in the box... woe betide mcabe if he's sold from under our feet....especially as we dont need to sell now were in the championship..

I gave Billy a standing ovation for his goal and contribution then clapped Evans on like a normal player coming on, most around me did the same. Nothing to see here.

I'm a little troubled that John Fleck gets slightly more applause than Paul Coutts when they take corners from their respective sides. I'm quite certain Couttsy has noticed this because I saw him mopping tears from his eyes with the corner flag before knocking one over against Barnsley.

Then there's Leon. He can't help but have noticed that the lukewarm reception he got as he left the field having been stupidly dismissed compared with the rapturous reception Billy would have got had he been as daft.

It gets worse. The cheers that Ched and Brooksy get when running up and down the touch line to warm up, is badly affecting the other substitutes. Lafferty is now having counselling and poor young. Eastwood is on anti-depressants.

This will harm the club in the long run. Please, let's just think what we're doing here.

On Saturday when billy came off and ched came on, I couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for sharp when there was a massive roar from the crowd for Evans coming on. Not to mention the super ched songs before the substitution had even been made.
Here's a bloke who's a boy hood blade, took a big pay cut to come here, and with out him we wouldn't have got promoted last season. Yet sharp seems to be getting over shadowed by Evans who other than a few cameo appearances hasn't done anything since coming back.

For me they should both be starting as I think it could be a strong partnership, and they are our two most clinical strikers
