Berge finally (I.e. a week before the play offs) moving into a role that in hindsight he should’ve been playing ages ago.

Make no bones about it, finding the perfect role for such a huge talent by this leagues standards can have a transformative effect on the team and take us, hopefully literally, up a level.

The first comparison that obviously comes to mind is Mancini moving Yaya Toure up the pitch during their first title winning season.
Berge qualities are so difficult for opponents to deal with and I think it’s gonna really unnerve them from the off.

No more messing around playing him deep or in those little pockets on the right, get him up the pitch and more central with the freedom to go where he wants in order to link up with MGW, N’Diaye and Fleck.

I can’t wait to see him play in these matches

I also think both our midfielders are better on the ball than forests and would absolutely pick our front three over theirs (Surridge, Zincernagal, Johnson).

Barring any more injury catastrophes I think we’ll beat forest and get to the final. I think they’ve been hugely overhyped.

Telling you, Forest are mentally boomed after the Bournemouth game. All that fanfare, the big send off outside the City Ground, their biggest game of the season only to completely bottle it & fold. They barely even turned up.

They had everything to play for. Win & they were in a prime position to go up automatically. They ended up finishing 4th. Dreams of playing in the premier league were so close to reality & now they’re resigned to the lottery of the play offs against the side that was in the premier league last season.

That’s a seriously tough mental obstacle to get over.

Their owner is already showing signs of mental boom, whinging about the ref at Bournemouth (which is fair tbh) & whinging about VAR more recently. Once it creeps in, it’s a proper bastard to get rid of.

The season we went up Leeds were a much more impressive challenger for automatic imo and I certainly don’t think forest have a player anywhere near the calibre of Kalvin Phillips.

Leeds ended up losing to derby in the semis

We had an off night against forest at the lane and the only particularly impressive players for them were Davis up front and a right wing back.

I’m not that worried about us playing them, nothing to fear just go out and attack them.

I think I feel different to these play offs over any other I’ve seen us in (maybe the exception being 03).

Every other time we’ve been disappointed with finishing 3rd or sort of limped into then. We’ve never come into them before with much form and I think this time, expectations are well tampered.

I followed through in my lucky underpants earlier in the week and had to leave them on the back of the toilet door in Waitrose.

Therefore, a defeat is undoubtedly forthcoming unfortunately.

Apologies to those unhappy at disingenuous posts. To the fact checkers, they were blue Ralph Lauren's with P on. The letter not piss.

I'll be meeting the Blades Pod lads ahead of the Forest match tomorrow, our record stands at: P3 W3 GF 11 GA 2

Blades good luck charm Benjamin Bloom is attending

My Mum has made the same sandwich selection as the Fulham match
How on earth does BB manage to get a ticket when there's thousands of genuine Blades that can't?

Haven't you seen the first leg ticket thread.

It's been a right carve up by the club. ;)
Oh I know. Blame someone else 🙄

Some fella on footy heaven other night was bemoaning that he couldn't get his usual disabled seat that would have cost him £6 but has had to pay £16 plus booking fee. "I shouldn't have to pay nearly 3 times what I should be doing"

Three times as much.

It's still good value though. £16 for a champ play off.

As for others complaining... I dont get it. Just turn up and watch the game.

It's ok, I found them and will be wearing them. Best not wash them either just in case. 🤞

I have a feeling that my posts are going way over your head

WWWWOOOOOOOOSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHH :)

Another reason to be positive? Big game experience, steady heads. Baldock, Bash, Egan, JLT, Uremovic, Davies, Stevens, Fleck, Norwood, Hourihane and others I will have omitted. That is a LOT of experience to put alongside the energy of the younger lads in Berge, N'Diaye, MGW, RND and others.

He’s our Kevin de Bryne
