Just been thinking of all the records were breaking at the moment. So does anyone know what the biggest points gap record is between 1st n 2nd at the end of the season?

Sunderland won Division 1 by 18 points in 1999.

Reading finished 14 points ahead of us in 2006.

Can't find any larger ones. It's possible for us to break a record, I would think. Especially since it became 3 for a win.

Celtic are currently 24 points clear of 2nd placed Aberdeen.

Or does Scottish football not count?

Didn't PSG win the league with about 11 games to spare last year or the year before?

Bradford had only lost 6 that is until last Monday looks like all the draws killed their chance of a top two spot, makes our first half demolition of them all the more sweet.

Bolton won the league by 18 points as well in 96/97, I think they would have been the first club to get 100 points and 100 goals that season but they drew their last match.

when you consider as the season started we,d have gladly taken a play off berth to be 25 points clear of 7th is astounding
thats 8 more points than rotherhams got all season
and one more point than wednesday got in 1974 as a gap
