Is Saturday the biggest ever game at Bramall Lane? Right now it obviously seems that way but try and think again, was it Forest in the semi final? Wigan in the battle to stay up? It’s more important than the quarter finals in my opinion, in fact I’m putting my neck out and saying Saturday is the most important game we’ll seen at Bramall Lane in modern times.

Money wise absolutely
Promotion is worth minimum 200 million to the club over the next few years
I think in the championship you get 4 million from Sky plus appearance money
I would certainly spend some of the money on upgrading the kop and modernising facilities

Yes.

Leeds away was arguably even bigger, without that win I think it could well have been Leeds in our position now, we'll never know how the results would have gone had Leeds won but it would have been a hammer blow to lose that game, even a draw was decent for Leeds.

Upgrading the Kop? Too much sense here.

Considering how nervous I feel already I'd say yes :)

My stomach is in knots and it's not like this a few hours before a derby game.

It's the biggest game for me, and I go back to the TC and Woody days.

It's not just for us fans, as good as it is, and it's not for the club, as much as I love it.

I desperately want it for Chris Wilder, Alan Knill and our squad to get promoted.

The fairy tale dream of Wilder coming back to his home city, and his boyhood club and making Blade Billy Sharp the team Captain, getting out of League 1 at his first attempt, and 100 points, and then finishing a credible 10th in our first season back, and even flirting with top spot.

It's for the lads who have played their heart out this season, the trickery of Mark Duffy, the non-stop running of Bash, the pin point passes from Oli Norwood, the goals of Billy and McG, the clean sheets and defensive master classes. Digging in and never giving up.

A team of players who cost less than a top-end Championship striker.

If this group of players can stand proud at the end of the season and say, "I did it, we did it, we are premiership players", no matter how brief it might be, no one can take that moment away from them, and it would make me so, so happy.

Felt quite emotional reading that.

I’m now sat in Costco eating a shepherds pie with slightly watery eyes.

I never really felt the same about Alan Quinn or Leigh Bromby, or others, not bad lads at all, but this group (to me) are just a special bunch of lads and I want it for them (as individuals) as much as I want it for us fans.

By far the biggest in our history, different ball game since we were last in. Hope we don't blow it.

...the pin point passes from Oli Norwood...

You're going back a few months...:D

'Biggest match ever at Bramall Lane'? Nah. I particularly enjoyed the 0-2 defeat to Scunthorpe on May 8th, 2016. After 5 years in League One we knew we were going places with Nigel Adkins. Down to Division Two. We finished the season in 11th - our equal-lowest position in 33 years. Four days later, Adkins (and his unseen mate Hammond - having completed a suspicious-looking 30 first-team appearances) mercifully pissed off. Doubles and brown paper envelopes all round. The same day, a bloked called Wilder was appointed as manager and Bramall Lane would never be the same again.

Seriously, some people are nervous about screwing it all up, and some think the 3 points from Ipswich are already in the bag. We've got one foot (and a couple of toes) in the Premier League, so let's enjoy things while they last.

I think the relegation game against Wigan was more important. We could have established ourselves in the PL when the money wasn't as ridiculous as it is now, having survived our first season. And as PokerBlade says, we have two bites of the cherry.

Not going to happen until the ownership issue sorted

As long as we don’t have Kev on the pitch again........”you’ll not see celebrations like this again” ...........

For me it’s the equivalent of Cardiff in 71.

For reasons that I have explained before, that was my first match at Bramall Lane and it infected me for the rest of my life.

If it feels half as good as that at full time on Saturday my Blades cycle will be complete.
