Biggest disappointment

Out of all the players who has disappointed you most since the start of the season it can be a player who joined in the summer or a player who was here before then. Personally for me it'd been Cofie I honestly thought he could be our secret weapon,our super sub and was so looking forward to seeing him in action after the Rotherham friendly where he was our best player. Since then apart a wonder goal he's gone massively off the boil seems lazy and uninterested. But that's just me.

Agreed Cofie has been the worst of the current squad which is surprising to say he is on loan from Man U. Not sure even Fergie would want him back with some of his performances of late.

It seems like most of his goals are penalties, and he seems to go for the glory too much as the majority of his shots are woefully off target/a piece of piss for the keeper from 25 yards.

Agreed he's not the finished article, but given the correct coaching I still think he's our most valuable asset, and one of the few players we have who can beat a man.

Blackman is a fucking glory boy I'm afraid. He takes an excellent penalty and clearly has ability, but all too often his style resembles that of the boy on the school playground at dinnertime who thought he was the dogs bollocks.

Up until the Crawley game, I think I might have gone for McMahon. Heard rave reviews about him, and I guess since we have been a bit spoilt in the RB position I was expecting more. . His main contender for me was Cofie. Again, admittedly fell for the whole "he must be good, he's from Man U"..so bit like McMahon, I was prejudiced I guess. Not entirely convinced about Blackman, but he's done enough, and a bit more besides at times. Well easy enough to say McM's grown on me. Cofie's done the opposite. So , sorry John, the dishonour is yours. Good luck to him mind and perhaps his inadequacy has opened the door for the likes of Ironside..

Surely that's the crux of it? Yes, Cofie has been disinterested but he wouldn't have got away with it at Man. U. Just like these 'unmanageable' players (Balottelli, Ranger, Ravel Morrison etc. etc.), isn't some of the blame also with the management/coaching staff?

Must admit from what I have seen, both Doyle and McDonald have not been as good as last year. I think the main reason for that is that there is not pressure on their positions from someone else in the squad, without that they will continue to play within themselves

Personally, I like strikers to be arrogant and a bit selfish, it's almost a key requirement.

Blackman is an absolute key player for us now in my opinion. Who else do we have who can go at defenders with pace and purpose and drive into the penalty area? He's our main threat and if he wasn't a bit raw, a tad one-footed (although he's willing to have a go with his right - it's just inconsistent) and a bit hit and miss with his decision making, he wouldn't be at the Lane.

Hopefully Murphy will share some of his good qualities and lighten the load on him a bit. If he doesn't, I don't fancy our chances should Blackman get injured.

Top stuff Cooperblade, it really is.

Not often I am lost for words re criticism of players or SUFC but this Blackman stuff is incredible. Against Vale he just kept running and running. He aint a world beater but he is decent in the pub league. WOuld he do owt in 2nd tier - almost certainly not, but same goes for all the other lot.

Maybe he has flashy wheels on his motor?

He's scored the same as he had at this point last season.

Westlake for me, for someone who is supposed to be a specialist in his role. Right back must be one of the easiest positions for a right footed player, yet he always seems to be out of position.
