yes 65 was more or less the start of it all silent read both ronnies books were both from the same era probably even stood with him behind the goal on the shoreham and plenty kicked off on the kop in those days when away fans always went on each others ends seen some unbelievable battles on the shoreham but apart from man utd and leeds 'once' only got the better of our lads wednesday brag to this day about how they 'took' the shoreham but that was only a county cup final when our lot didnt turn up as ronnie has stated in his book theyve bever come remotely close to getting anywhere near the middle of the shoreham in any league or proper cup games utb ftp13/11/1965
Blades 2 (Jones 2) Everton 0
My Uncle Ronnie wrote in his book that this match was the first time he saw real violence in a football match.

Toledo, Think it was Stewart Hutchison. (RIP).1966... I was 13 and catching a bus from the Hope Valley after school in Hope, and walking up to the Ball Inn ground for practice.
Then on the weekends, I would catch a bus from Bradwell and meet up with either the U18's for a game or for a Hatchard League game.
Those were the days I look back on and remember I was so happy to make the trip from the Hope Valley to Sheffield to be coached at SUFC.
I remember some awsome names: Micky Speight, Alan Hutchinson, Tom McAllister to name a few from that time period.
This is awesome Silent.
