Got that nervous excitement about Saturdays game and then started to look further ahead, wondering what our position in the table will be when the festivities are over.

Looking back at this time last year we only collected 5pts from the 7 games.

We have a fairly good mixture of ‘6 pointers, should wins and bannana skins’ coming up.

Leeds, West Brom, Derby and Blackburn (H)

Reading, Ipswich, Wigan (A)

If we win them all we’ll be top :), but more realistically I think we need 12 pts from that lot to be firmly in the top 6.

Not sure what others think (it’s basically impossible to predict I know) but I’d go:

Leeds - Win (just fancy it)
Reading - Win
West Brom - Lose
Ipswich - Win (for fuck sake win that one)
Derby - Lose/draw
Blackburn - Win
Wigan - Lose/draw

Between 12-14 pts

Some cracking games coming up anyway !

Always find it a weird feeling around this time of year when we start playing the 2nd round of fixtures vs other teams.

Of course the fixture calendar doesn't just repeat from the 1st half of the season, so you often find yourself playing a side you just came up against a few weeks ago.

Feels strange to play Derby and Wigan so soon after our recent games against them.

I'm usually a bit sceptical of "big months" and "defining moments" but the next three home games for us are massive.

I still bet there's only one fat bloke delivering presents in my house!!

Not normally one to think like this but with the mix of 6 pointers at home, shite to play away and some middle teams chucked in, heading towards the middle of the season, it just seems an important run of fixtures over a short space of time.

Leeds - Draw
Reading - Win
West Brom - Win
Ipswich - Draw
Derby - Draw
Blackburn - Win
Wigan - Win
15 points and sitting pretty.

We could win ALL seven games.

The hard games are at home and that is to our advantage, the easy games are away, also to our advantage.

All game in this division are not easy, just approach one at a time - but there is absolutely no reason that everyone of those should not produce 3 points.

Nothing to fear at all - just one at a time.

There are no easy games, we could win all seven and we could lose all seven.

We won't win all seven because this is United we're talking about and winning all seven would create some major excitement. And we can't have that, we're not allowed it

We won't lose all seven either because we're not that bad, and any slacking and the players will have Wilders boot up their arse

Thanks, that's fucked us reight royally. Bit like the 4-0 against pigs and the same against ToyTown that people forecast. Just fuckin chill and have class and hope we will do enough. Mr Eeyore.

I am not superstitious nor do I believe in footballing gods.

Don't I fucking know it Mr Positivity Pants :confused::(

Well ya know...

I am going for:

Leeds - W
Reading - D
West Brom - L
Ipswich - W
Derby - D
Blackburn - W

That would put us on 45 points after 25 games. Still a bit short of the gold standard of 2 points per match but it would certainly keep us in the top 6, and probably in the top 4. It's going to be tight though, as from glancing at the fixtures you could argue that we have got one of the harder runs when compared to those around us. Then again, it's so bloody unpredictable in this league.

Leeds - Win
Reading - Draw
West Brom - Loss
Ipswich - Win
Derby - Win
Blackburn - Win
Wigan - Win

16 points from 21.

Reading away will be tough as they're a bit up and down. West Brom i think will turn us over.

We should have enough to take three points off those last four also.
