Although bottom of the league and on a terrible run we should beware this Bury squad and it's potential strength, it contains some very experienced players who could make this game more difficult than many fans expect. These are some of their squad.
Kelvin Etuhu
Antony Kay
Danny Mayor
Tom Pope
Tom Soares
Jacob Mellis
Neil Danns
James Vaughan
Chris Brown
Ishmal Miller
Leon Barnet

I don't know how many are injured and not available but there's enough there to upset the form book.o_O

Bloody hell. Unless some of those big names' legs have gone, that makes no sense whatsoever.

They're 18th in the league but must be bottom of the form league. These are the two team's run stats

That's it then nailed on away win. ;)

Tom Pope came on as a sub on Saturday after a few weeks out and you would expect he and Vaughan could be potent but we have enough to keep them at bay. Too many of the rest are well past there sell buy date though or have had more than enough chances to make it. Confidence will be in pieces and they must fear the worst. Be a shame to disappoint them wouldn't it?

Tough tough game, but I think we have too much momentum to slip up here. We will need an early goal though to put them into crisis mode. If they score first or it stays 0-0 for a long time then we could have a coupon buster on our hands.

Somehow though I don't see us not taking all 3 points.

If this fixture had been two months ago we'd have been worried about it.

The fact that sacking Flitcroft has had no positive effect makes me wonder what exactly is going wrong there.

It seems that there has been loads of financial uncertainty really, the last coming to a conclusion today.

Bury were due in the High Court in London today over unpaid tax however they earned a third reprieve in a year after settle the bill.

It seems this Stewart Day bloke has been keeping them afloat however with mortgages outstanding on Gigg Lane and everything else, there just seems to be loads of uncertainty around the place.

The only "player" of theirs to cause us problems in the past has been Pope. If EEL is up against him, possible problem sorted

Most of them are past it, that's why they're at Bury. They do have enough to be doing better than they are though.

I wondered if it might be a bit of player power Bushy? Perhaps they want him out which would bode well for us.
A 4-0 defeat would seem routine, so they might just have to throw it with a 10 niller!!

Most of those 'big' names are over 30 and relied on their pace when they were under 30. I think we can see what has happened here

Wilder will I hope have his team totally focussed and non complacent. If he does we should get 3 points.
If he dosen't there's a very good chance we won't.
Everything flows from the former. Nothing from the latter.

He's been sacked. Before the last game. Unless I dreamt it.

Funny this how we think sacking a manager improves a team, statistics show the opposit. Maybe it's the odd sacking that works that get the attention.

Jacob Mellis is 25, one year younger than Kyle Walker. I feel like he should be at least in his late 40's...

It only works if the manager is the main problem. Quite often, that's not the case and they take the blame for failings throughout the club, or sometimes just a run of bad results.
Most clubs continue to decline after sacking a manager but, as you say, it's the ones where a manager turns it around that gets noticed.

It's not just a team in bad form, it would appear that the squad themselves are fragmented and unable to pull together. This won't change whilst they are without a manager.
For that reason, I expect a convincing victory regardless of the 'banana skin' factor.

If the game goes ahead I think we will win with some comfort.

However our luck dictates that the game will be called off and rearranged for when Bury have found some better form.

Which could work in our favour anyway as we'd have the three injured players back and if they're in form they might try to take us on. And if they do, we'll find the gaps they leave and open them up.

We are going to start piling up games though.

I want to play it and win tomorrow otherwise we will drop out of the top two with a tough away game on Saturday.

I want to keep "scoreboard pressure" on the other sides and have them need to chase us.

either both of those form runs are about to be extended or both are about to come to an end. Wobbley bottom time int John Street stand tomorrow

We are the new Blades this season...they will be comfortably put to the sword. In Tufty I trust
All it takes for us Blades to switch from we're going pee the league mindset to lowly Bury will pee all over us, is a couple of injuries and an under par (ish) second half.

I blame the board, they've made us this way.
