Apologies if this has already been posted on another thread.

If Danny Hall is right (he might be wrong) and these are the positions we're looking at (3 players), who do people think we'll sign.

My predictions.
ST: Cannon (loan to buy)
Winger: Sarmiento (straight loan)
CM: Stuart Armstrong (free)

Agree, but we have shipped out 15 players?? That can't be rebuilt effectively in one window
I agree, and I've voiced my opinion in other threads that we wouldn't have a complete squad at the end of this window. As the old saying goes, Rome wasn't built in a day.

I was simply answering the question out forward as objectively as I could. We've done some good work in the market this summer, but I think it's a bit much to call this the best window ever.

It's strong but still a day to go, if we can be around the top 6 come Jan then reinvest then who knows

Still of that same opinion? Because for me it went from a decent window to a poor one now.

I will be amazed to see anyone coming in now poor management of the club again.

At the risk of being an apologist for the club, i think we need to all take a step back and realise how hard and complicated it is, especially as the window gets closer to the end....

Use the striker role/hole as an example. Pretty much most clubs in the Championship want a big athletic striker who can stretch defences (we had x2 in Osula & Jebbison - but that's a different thread). So how do we compete? Chuck silly money at it knowing chances are they'll be understudy to Kieffer Moore? Get someone on loan? But who will loan us a player if they're going to be understudy? Take a gamble on a lower league player? Risky? Try a cheap overseas player? Sounds riskier....

As much as we'd like to see 4 new players land this afternoon, think we have to realise we bit off more than we could chew at the start of the Summer and it's going to be 2 or 3 windows before we're in the position we all think we should be...

Patience grasshopper.

Fair post to be honest you make some very good points there we will wait and see.

I am hearing we are being linked with Samuel Edozie from Southampton now that would be a quality signing.

Would rather we're patient than panic buy a Lee Evans, Tom Davies or Samir Carruthers type and get stuck with them on a 4 year contract

Including Trusty today how much have we sold in transfers fees this window?

And also the wage bill will be very down.
