For the reasons I set out before the play-offs even kicked off, my preference was to see Fulham go up. A couple of games against Villa are worth looking out for on the fixture list. Similarly, a couple of games with Derby are reasonably tasty, and, albeit slightly less so, even the Middlesbrough games.

Fulham, though? Personally, I'd be quite content to never have to host them and their 300 travelling fans at the Lane, or visit their ground with its 'neutral stand', ever again.

Very happy that Fulham are out of the League definitely deserved to go up for their overall standard of play this season. As for Villa, certainly not at the top of my list of loathsome teams, there are many far worse and despite Grealish picking up the dog's abuse on here, some of which I think he has deserved I think he has the potential to turn into a top player as he matures. I think he has tremendous raw ability, has he the character to push himself to the top? Jury still out on that one.

Villa had the most expensive squad in the Championship (£67.8m). They had the highest average home attendances (32,097) but with very high wage earners (Terry £60k per week ffs) and one of their top scorers (Grabban) is on loan. If they aren't under scrutiny for FFP, I'll order a D Taxi.

I don't think there'll be a queue for Grealish. He's all 'show' with little end result (only 3 goals last season) and his 'look at me', 'odious little cunt' antics will put a lot of clubs off.
