i give a couple i was at the crucible few years ago watching a cracker of a 2nd round game Robertson v fu. crucible to ourselves & during final frame at 12 - 12. you could hear a pin drop

then probably completely opposite. when to Olympics in 2012. saw usain bolt in 200m semis. who was fast but goes up a different gear in person to on tv. absolute pleasure to see maybe the greatest sprinter of all time at his peak

but main one was mo Farah olympic stadium 2017 world champs. the atmosphere when he was in closing laps was 1 of greatest ive heard. it was a wall of sound. you could barely hear yourself think. as a sporting day out it was on a par with MK Dons & Chesterfield trophy lift

Mine isn't particularly exciting but it was my first England match & Gazza scored his first goal for the National team too. I'd forgotten it was just after the Hillsboro disaster

Broad hattrick and Rahul Dravid with the most technically accomplished innings I’ve ever seen. I missed Sachin batting as he got out whilst I was I queuing for an ale. Doh.



Beckham’s World Cup rescue act. Fabulous goal but England were a disorganised rabble with Beckham playing every position bar goalie, like the good kid at school. Indulgent rubbish that Sven never got a grip of. Still, great drama...



Zidane playing and losing in the Champs League final in Amsterdam. First time I’d seen truly great players in the flesh. It was like a different sport to what I’d grown up watching at the Lane.

I was luckily enough to be at the 5th day of the 2005 ashes test at the oval too. I was on suisa site back in the day, a week before the test someone posted that Surrey had released some tickets in the corporate area in the new stand, £10 a pop, 1 per caller, 1st come first served. Got a ticket straight away, tried a minute later for a mate and they had all gone. Best £10 ever spend, got to go in my media entrance, so Gower, Botham etc, and an amazing day.

I saw the Oakland Raiders win twice last season which given our last fifteen years is quite the achievement.

Would probably say either seeing Flintoff bowl Lara for a duck in 2004, or the darts last Christmas where I got arguably the game of the tournament in Peter Wright v Noel Malicdem

The two biggest crowds I have been in were both for early season league games. Both still attracted 70,000+
1 Barcelona v Malaga at the Nou Camp. Poor game but Ronaldinho was fantastic.
2. Essendon v Hawthorn at the MCG. Huge stadium. Difficult to see what is happening at the other side of the field particularly with only a vague idea of the finer points of Aussie Rules football. Still an unforgettable experience.

2012 Olympics, Mo Farah 5000m gold and Usain Bolts Jamaica winning the 4 x 100m. Never hear noise like it for that Mo Farah 5,000m as he kicked 2 on the final lap.

I remember the late Boo Radley messaging me after and how excited he was, thats the reason for my signature line "11th August 2012 - We witnessed History!"

Spurs v Forest cup final where Gascoigne did himself in. Spurs won anyway, but it was an eventful game all the same.

Edgbaston for the first day of the Ashes test in 2005. Glenn McGrath stood on a ball in the warm up and did his ankle. England scored 407 on Day 1. Pietersen and Flintoff were brilliant.



Nou Camp the first time Messi, Suarez and Neymar all scored in the same game.

Day 1 at Lords, Edgbaston and Old Trafford in 2005 Ashes, all great days, all had their icon moments (McGrath 500th test wicket at Lords, Warne 600th test wicket, Vaughan century at OT) but probably best of them from an England prospective was Edgbaston ...
Eagles v Wigan at Wembley in '98, greatest ever Challenge Cup upset perhaps ...
Germany 1 England 5 in Munich, doesn't get much better than whacking the krauts in their own back yard ...
England 2 Argentina 2 World Cup 98 in St Etienne, I know we lost on pens (i still maintain we were robbed by the cheating Argies and the ref who fell for every trick in the book) but the game had everything.
