Had a quick skim and can't see it mentioned (apologies if it has) .... Keith Edwards "Pele" goal versus Bristol Rovers (?) in front of The Kop.
Pele missed his, Keith didn't, and my memory* also tells me he saluted The Kop with the ball at his feet before slotting it in to an empty net.
* should anyone have a clearer recollection where this didn't happen please don't spoil it for me

He did indeed salute the Kop prior to putting it in the net. I was going to mention this one as well. Such a shame that, as far as I know, it wasn't recorded. The other goal I loved which I don't think has been mentioned was the Kazim Richards effort v Bolton.

....when the ball came to steve cammack, he was standing in the car park, facing the wrong way, without any shoes on, in fog with an artillery barrage going off all around him. He struck it so sweetly that there was a mini sonic boom as it left his boot, shattering nearby windows. Best goal i've ever seen.

Never saw it in the flesh because I wasn't born, but Tony Fields goal against Ipswich in 1971 (?) was incredible.

For me though it was Michael Browns and Paul Peschisolido's neck and neck.

I never thought either Brown or Pesch had great necks to be honest.
