100% agree mate , the only worry is when the eldest is living in another country .
Other than that spot on mate .

I get that Dublin. My eldest is in her second year at Uni in Barcelona. I phone her on Whatsapp every evening and worry if she dosen't pick up although I know she's got a life outside talking to her Dad!

And the same to you mate. And missing your daughter ain't soppy. There's a special bond between Dads and Daughters. Mine will always be my precious little girls, even though they're 20 and 14 going on 25! I manage the football team my youngest plays for, have done since she was 8,and we get to the Lane as often as possible. Football is one of a number of special bonds we have that are ours alone.

All my good away days involve Deepcar Blade so I can't really mention the following:

Walking into a "door" at Plymouth.
Walking into a supporting pilar of Stockport station and knocking himself out.
The events in limos down to Wembley.

Don't know why I liked that comment really. Let's be honest, there's nowt to f*****g like about getting older really is there?!
By the time you have acquired some useful info by years of experience, you're too flaming old to put it to good use!
Wish I was 18 again and now what I know now ;)

edit: Actually, no I don't. I'd probably be arrested or dead already!
Totally

Sorry forgot to finish the post. My best away game was Leicester. I was dressed as a gorilla and towards the end of the game, I got a head wound from a 50 pence coin thrown by a Leicester knobhead. I still remember the celebrations after the game and walking back to the bus very happy despite having the mother of all headaches!. I was dropped off in woodseats and joined the big tree party!!. What a day!. Just gutted that I won't be able to do mk dons due to bloody shift work!!. Utb

Yes pass on my best wishes too SBT

I've incurred his wrath a couple of times on Bladesmad

I've only met him a couple of times,
before and after the 2-0 home defeat to Crawley where we all got bladdered and the second time was at Boothys funeral (RIP)

He's a top bloke

I seem to remember a story in one if those books, from many years ago, about 2 lads cycling to an away match and stopping to pitch their tent overnight (now that's dedication!) only to be woken the following morning by the owner of the front lawn they'd slept on! :)
