Sheffield United are still in the frame for Rangers left-back Olivier Bernard.

The Blades are unable to match Bernard's £12,000 per week salary but have been told he will drop his personal demands if Rangers can offer a severance package or even contribute a percentage of the wages.

Rangers fullback Olivier Bernard remains locked in talks with Sheffield United.

Bernard has still not agreed a contract with Sheffield United as the Blades are not willing to give him the two-year deal he is demanding.

Id give him the 2 year deal but im guessing he wants stupid wages.

Yer but I really don't think we need him at all. Get a left midfielder and play Armstrong at left back makes so much more sense than buying a dodgy left back for free.

Well his only Premiership experiences where at both Newcastle and Southampton. They were both teams who aren't great at defending.

It wasn't just Unsworth, the rest of the team played pretty badly at times.

I'll agree the rest did play pretty badly at times, but it was Unsworth's crossfield balls that constantly went out that really got under my skin.

I haven't seen Bernard much but he looked pretty solid in his Newcastle days.

It annoyed me too, but there were a few that he dropped right on Hulses head, just like the cross for his goal v. Liverpool.

Bernard has looked good at times, he's also looked crap at times, we'll not know unless he ends up coming and playing

He'd have to go throught pre season to get his fitness up so that'd be a lot of time wasted.

And apart from 2 bad passes and a slip, why was Unsworth so bad today?
