Does anyone know if the "Walker to Tottenham" rumours are true, I really need to know!??

Bit sketchy on Wilder's first 5 games in charge, Ben.

A shocking first four games including being 0-3 down at home to Sarfend after 15 minutes. Wilder out! The Millwall game was when CW bought beers for the lads on the way home and, in a post-match interview, CW looked shell-shocked. The home draw v Rochdale was memorable as it was the start of a (so far) remarkable 47-game run of league matches where Billy has scored and we haven't lost*. Losing at HT at home to Oxford, we won the game and wouldn't lose again until November 29 - one of just three games we'd lose for the rest of the season.

(* Playing under Chris Wilder (112 League appearances), Billy has scored 65 league goals and United have never lost a League game under Wilder when Billy has scored!)

To be fair to silver blade the other post was called "interesting stuff" hence easily missed unless you're expected to read every single generic sounding post?
Yep I check every single thread to see what's going on, doesn't everybody?

And don't forget the 'Will Sheffield united win promotion?' Thread only on page 2 even now!

And the answer to the question Bloom asked about when we adopted our current formation is the very next match, Gillingham, when we won 2-1 with Sharp's last minute penalty. Oxford saw us play with a flat back 4. The overlapping centre backs weren't there in full effect against the Gills but that was the genesis. It was in my view the most pivotal game in Wilder's reign.

And even after being beaten by Millwall
I still had faith in Sir Chris ( unlike some on here )
And predicted going up as champions with
100 points and 100 goals
Boy was I wrong we only scored 90+ in all competitions

True. But in the grand scheme of things these are minor details that don’t really make any difference to the audience that it’s going out to.

That's now 3 hours of my life I will never get back. Looking forward to someone else posting a thread about it so I can watch it again.

Good listen that, I really enjoyed it.

Regarding the fact that it was also posted elsewhere, it’s just one of those things on a busy forum and it’s probably happened to most posters unless they’ve got the time and inclination to read every post on every thread in every section. I’ve even done a keyword search before starting a new thread or looked back over a couple of pages, only to find somebody had posted something about it under a cryptic title, and I’ve often had the same happen to me in reverse where somebody has later duplicated my topic. The facts are I think that most posters on here just skim through the the board a lot of the time.

it is worth a listen...from that dismal day under Adkins to the arrived of Chris..Yep worth a listen
