Wednesday don't go for 'rich' backers - they go for bent backers like Chancer and Mandaric. They buy players who have little re-sale value as other teams have had the best out of them and many are injury-prone. And, while splashing the cash on players they fail to realise that you need a good manager and coaching staff to get the best out of them. Wednesday had the piss-poor Carvalhal and are now making the same mistake with Dead Loss Jos.

I'm not advocating that we 'do a Villa', or even a Wednesday who have behaved like a loser on a FOBT not having the money to compete, but thinking that surely their luck will turn? By 'go for it', I mean supplementing the team with one or two good loanees. After all, most other things are already in place.

Steve Bruce is a fraud and a tactically inept one at that.

His managerial spell at us wasn’t ideal and I can’t blame him for walking.

But every club pretty much he’s spent a great deal and limped up and consolidated or bottled and walked.

That's not really true though. He’s had a good career as a manager, better than many. It’s not easy even if you’re given money, ask Carloss, Nobbo or Clough. He’s a twat, a massive twat but you don’t win as many promotions as he has or manage as long as he has at the top level if you’re a fraud.

I'd be all for playing similar formation with 2 AMCs (apologies for the junior football manager reference) instead of 2 strikers if we can;t get another striker in.
