Ben Whiteman the first of what could be many young players to get a loan move this window. He has joined Mansfield Town on loan until the end of the season. Good move for him certainly to get 1st team football and kick on with his career instead of being left on the bench or playing for our u23s side, always looked decent when Ive seen him in youth games especially so could fill up to his full potential there. Wilder said he expects a few more younger players going out on loan before Monday I think Louis Reed will be one of them.

Whiteman looks good, whenever I have seen him, and this could be a good move for him. Youngsters from any club need to be exposed to big, nasty cagey old pro's. They need to toughen up for prime time, and somewhere like Mansfield is probably as good as anywhere to do that.

Whiteman is bring linked with a loan move to Donny Rovers for the first half of the season . That's a cracking move for him and us right now . With the likes of Coppinger there he'll get a further good ' grounding ' in what's required in professional football . At league 1 level too it's only ever going to be a great benefit to his development .

If you look at recent photographs of Ben,he looks to have matured and grown quite a bit since his loan move to Mansfield

Yep, couldn't ask for much more than that.

Then in January we can reassess. There's every chance we'll want to bring him back and give him a chance in our team.

I hope we get him on a long term contract before the season. If he performs in L1 how he did in L2 then clubs will be queuing up for him.

An excellent move. League 1 football amongst a good squad of players. As much as I dislike Ferguson I will concede that he is a decent manager, the same applies to Evans.
Ben is racking up some quality experience.

Would be a good move for him. Staying local with a club on the up rather than down.

Will be an excellent move for the lad. Young Fergie is a manager who does like to get his teams playing in the right way and I think it will suit any of our youngsters to be in this environment.

Throw in the fact that is a local team with no issues re travelling to work and training and I think it is ideal.

If all goes well next season I can really see him.challenging for a first team spot next season cos he really does have the potential. Id love to see it too.

Confirmed loan to Donny

I understand it's until January only, so the doors open for him to make an impact at Donny and force his way back into the squad this season.

He certainly has the potential to do that. I really hope we hold on to him and brooks as they could both look like future stars
