Blades youngster Ben Starosta is set to line up against some of the World's most promising stars when the FIFA U20 World Cup kicks off.

The Sheffield-born defender joined the Poland U20 squad on 18 June to fly out to Canada for the tournament ready for their opening Group D game, against Brazil, in Montreal tghis coming Saturday.

Ben, who qualifies for Poland through his Grandad, made his full international debut for Poland's U20 side against Jordan in Amman earlier this month.

Amongst a host of semi-anonymous youngsters at the FIFA U20 World Cup are several names that are already well known in World football.

Four-time FIFA U20 World Cup winners Brazil include Internacional's teen sensation Alexandre Pato in their squad. The Brazilian striker was linked with Chelsea and AC Milan in The Sun newspaper on Tuesday.

Athletico Madrid starlet Sergio Kun Aguero is set to spearhead Argentina's bid for a sixth U20 World Cup title, whilst Manchester United defender Gerard Pique and Real Madrid forward Alberto Bueno line up for Spain.

Much-coveted striker Freddy Adu - playing in his third U20 Finals - will feature for USA, whilst Barcelona whiz kid Giovanni Dos Santos and Arsenal's Carlos Vela are likely to star for Mexico.

Poland meet Brazil on Saturday and then they remain in Montreal to tackle USA on 3 July and Korea Republic three days later.

Good luck to him i hope he does well. :)

Aye... I hope he does you proud Bladesmum :)

Not sure if you folks saw the game, it was live here (Canada). He played well. Looks awkward but nobody got by him (and there is real talent on that Brazilian team), his passing was good, and he was able to get buy players when going forward. I look forward to watching his next game.
