The Bereton deals sums it up really. It is not about who they have sold or where they have come from. They have owners who can and will spend money.

Blackburn have controversial but very rich owners..sadly another club that can and will spend more than us.

We are more around the clubs like Millwall, Ipswich, Readng, Preston in terms of wages / outgoings.

We will spend more than a few such as Rotherham and maybe a few of the above but there are at least 10 clubs that can and probably will spend more than us...off top of my head, Stoke, Leeds, Boro, Villa, Forest, Derby, Swansea, West Brom, Bristol City, Blackburn and even Wigan

Some are more traders - Brentford and will spend some of what they bring in and maybe the most sensible model in the league - problem is always a host of clubs above that can just chuck money at it

There are also some clubs with wealthy owners but are hamstring somewhat by FFP or spending too much previously / still dealing with premiership pay outs and not able to sistain it such as Wednesday, QPR, Norwich, Bolton but these all have much wealthier owners than us and once they ride out the storm probably will push again and certainly have owners with the funds to do that.

That iis the reality of the challenge of trying to make top 6 - not impossible as Huddersfield and Cardiff have shown but a mighty challenge.

Our lack of cash (compared to player valuations) could be our saving grace. Hogan, Gallagher, Fletcher, Eisa, etc really don't look anything better than what we already have (much worse in most cases), even Waghorn with his amazing season was over priced. At least with a loan you can always send them back (unless you do a Horsefield or Hendrie, I was happy when we finally got a real contracts man).

No too sure, but I vaguely remember seeing something on Instagram a week or so ago saying he would be out for a few weeks at least. Won't do us any harm at all, and they look absolutely gash without him.

Dunno how clued in they are but Yorkshire Live say he won't play against us. Nor will perennial pain-in-the-ass Bradley Dack.
