Yes, he's average, versatile, not exciting, not particular good at anything and got a lot to learn.

Forest will buy better than him so might be looking to offload their dead wood to some mugs willing to have them
I can certainly see this happening
Off to pigs then

How the fuck have you got 22 likes, sympathy votes ?

23 now, I'm obviously well liked here

I think I'll hang around a bit...…….maybe until the end of January, it will be hilarious watching us try to scrape £200,000 together to buy another League One Central Midfielder because the League one club wouldn't accept our first five offers made between the 1st and the 30th January

He's fast, very fast. I heard Usain Bolt once ate his flip flop.

The only time I've seen Brereton play a full game was against Arsenal in the cup. He was excellent that day, ran their defence ragged. Based on that performance, I'd be shocked and delighted if we signed him. I suspect he'll be targeted by PL clubs for his potential much like Brooks

Blackburn have bid £5m apparently. Imo a highly rated player who has everything we need, we’d be better going for him instead of wasted everyones time on waghorn

Nixon - reckon others are circling too. I highly doubt we are one of their others but you never know.

Nixon... WIGAN. Alert. Extra striker could be done too. And it won’t go down well with a rival. May need a lie down shortly.

Don't want Garner to be fair. It might be Gallagher!

I’d have Garner, always looked class for Preston! I’d have Windass! I’d have Gallagher! I’d fooking love Brereton. Wigan and Blackburn are making moves, we on the other hand are doing naff all!

Blackburn back in apparently loan to buy....

Would wilder take a chance on the potential? Be high risk high reward but we’d be as well going for it as taking a premier league player on loan imo.

I wish he would, looks like a very good player in the making imo

On a permanent basis, he'd be a proper Brooks replacement. So if we could loan to buy I'd be all for it.

Watched him in the U19s championships and he was one of England’s better players. Played up front with George Hirst whom he was head and shoulders above, figuratively speaking. Unlikely to get much of a look in at Forest.

Could be on his way to Blackburn at the right price.

Alan Nixon @reluctantnicko 10:36:
BLACKBURN. FOREST. Breeeton thing now about future sell ons. Forest clearly will sell at right deal.

Begs the question why aren’t we in there?
Young, full of potential, and tore Arsenal a new en in the FA cup only last year.

No surprise Forest are getting rid with their new wealth and Karanka in charge, but Blackburn?! He’d improve our frontline immensely and we don’t have many players to choose from.

I reckon this is the transfer that Wilder mentioned in his post match interview, the madness of newly promoted teams going in for 8 million quid strikers.

Showing us up in fairness when we’ve just received 12mil for Brooks (which we’ve apparently not touched), 1 mil for Evans on top of whatever our transfer budget was already.

We can’t say we want proven championship quality - then not pay the wages or transfer fees that go with them. It makes no sense.

I can understand Wilder not getting sucked into the mad auctions that go on nowadays with transfer fees and wages, not if he thinks the player isn't worth it.

It does beggar the question though, is this now the norm, and do we risk the club's future to chase the dream as others are doing ?

I can understand it to an extent, but we can’t say we only want proven championship quality strikers and expect it to be cheap.

And no, because we’d be the first club to go under from trying that :D but we should be able to spend big on one striker with the money we’ve brought in.

Imagine Blackburn signing Brereton and Armstrong permanently when we've done nothing with the Brooks money...

Those two between them would be PERFECT reinvestment.

I don’t get the fawning over Armstrong. If he was that good he would have had far more championship suitors at 3m
