Sheffield United could raid fellow Championship rivals Nottingham Forest for their former Stoke City striker Ben Brereton.

Brereton, 19 came through the youth ranks at Nottingham Forest after playing at Academy level for Stoke City. The Stoke-on-Trent youngster scored six goals last season in 39 appearances in all competition.

Yes, he's average, versatile, not exciting, not particular good at anything and got a lot to learn.

Forest will buy better than him so might be looking to offload their dead wood to some mugs willing to have them
I can certainly see this happening

He’s a future star according to the Nottingham forums I would expect that he’s going to be an impact player for them this season, they aren’t loaning him out to another Championship club.

If he's thought of so highly at Forest why would he come here?

Why would Forest sell to us ?
Why would he choose us over Forest ?

If he's thought highly of at Forest he's obviously going to command a large fee which certainly rules us out

We should stick to what we're good at, wasting Third Division clubs time instead of wasting time trying to get something for nothing from a Championship club

I said he's not good enough
