Woohoo!  :drunk: :drunk:

Er, hang on a mo, doesn't it mean that we will be getting the Official Beer Of Sheffield United? Marston's or that filthy Aussie piss Fosters, for around three quid a pint? I think I will be able to manage without one for two and a half hours.

This was always my main problem with the Kop, in that it never served beer.

I noticed they was doing some work on the kop, this must be it. Let's hope there will be somewhere to actually stand at half time when it rains now too....

Well, at least we can look forward to a few more scraps between drunken chavs next season eh?

Yeah, thats my point.

Give em alcohol and it will increase.

I don't know if it's occurred to anybody, but it's highly unlikely that people will come to the ground early just because the Kop will have a couple of bars on it. I am led to believe that there are several emporia retailing alcoholic beverages for consumption on or off the premises in the area around Bramall Lane. These establishments are called "shops" and "pubs" and on match days you may find upwards of a dozen folk gathered, especially in the "pubs" drinking such varied drinks as "lager", "bitter", "Guinness" and, if they have more money than sense, an Irish drink called "Magner's". I have it on good authority that many of these people will have more than just the one "pint" and yet amazingly they do not descend into an orgy of violence every time they indulge in a drink.

Mind you, it's very much a possibility that paying through the nose for a pint of expensive fizzy wee will tip a few delicate souls over the edge. What the club could do is have stewards and police actually inside the ground to deal with any trouble if it occurs.

Pull the other one Sharpy, if people wanna get drunk and cause trouble they will do so whether beer is served on the kop or not. I haven’t seen any trouble on the GWS over the past 4 seasons despite the fact that beer is readily available.

The only drawback I foresee is that when I used to sit on the kop it was always difficult to move out on the back at half-time and the addition of lengthy queues for beer will compound the problem.

Have you ever been where I am at the top of Gangway F? It's almost obligatory up there.

I've never seen fighting amongst Blades inside a stadium. Although there has been a few close calls.

Yeah, thats my point.

It doesn't affect the rest of the stadia

Er..... Have you ever queued there :D Takes about 20 mins lol

Everton last year for a start, just off the top of my head. That said, having beer on the Kop might calm some of the withdrawal symptoms down a bit :D

Personally, I always find that a goodly couple of bottles of 'Russian Coke' always did the trick.

yeah look at the old folks fighting week in week out since beer has been served on the john street.

people fighting is just people who cant handle their drink or are not mature enough, eh robbie ;)

Oooooo no, I'm not stating it has never occured. Just me personally have never seen it.

Happened all the time. What I found amusing was it those who were on Jamaican cigs having a go, rather than us lot who might have done, but didn't want to spill the Russian Coke :)
