Never (Apart from when Clough had gone mad) dominated like that.

We absolutely battered Forest without scoring. What a joy to watch so much technical possession of the ball.

Right through the team we oozed class.

The score line apart because of 2 lapses- I can't remember enjoying the Blades away from home so much, we simply purred.

And when Brooks came on, it was like watching a player from Real Madrid-.

Forest well and truly gasped sighs of relief at the final whistle.

This midfield is the best since Currie, and before anyone says Brown and Tonge, it's way better than that.

Fantastic United a joy to watch.

Just listening to Wilder now and he is rightly delighted. Some neutrals may see the result and think our bubble has burst but if anything the performance gives me even more confidence

We have not got a bubble to burst, that's the talk of the Truffle Snufflers. What we have is a very good side in the Championship, playing against other good sides. Win some, lose some (draws seem unavailable)

:)

I agree regarding the first half but I thought second half we looked tired and bar that late flurry, didn't really do much to worry Forest. Similarly, Brooks should his technical ability but never looked liked hurting Forest.

Overall very encouraging - we played some great football, but it was a little worrying that Forest looked liked scoring with every attack (two goals and three excellent chances). The changes clearly didn't work - all three 'rested' players ended up on the pitch.

royston out!!!! their local wierdo has already done his view from the blades, and he is so much more detailed, pre match, after team announcement, during the game and also post mach, come on slacker sort thi sen aht

A game of three thirds for me. We were excellent at the beginning, disjointed in the middle (the injury to Baldock didn't help) but much better when Leon and Boy Wonder came on.

I had it down as a game of 5 quarters.

Thought we played some great possession football outside the box, but lacked a cutting edge up top and from getting in decent positions out wide the crossing tended not to be too effective (bar for the goal). The four in centre mid, plus two wingbacks meant we were always going to control the ball a lot but I felt it left Donaldson isolated up top on his own too much, it also gave us less options to aim for from decent wide positions after we'd got around the back. Thought we looked much more potent up front when we had Clarke and Brooks as a definite front two.

Exactly my thought after both Norwich and today. A lot of extenuating circumstances to explain both results: ref, injuries, fatigue. The fact is the performances were there. The only team to really dominate us was Cardiff, and we should've had a penalty at 0-0 in that game.
