Experience upfront is still needed.

Though good to see Hoskins come in and score today.

Just means we have a good selection of options upfront and we seem to be covered should the worse happen to Ched.

Should of probably grabbed a goal the other week before the Charlton game.

I forget who we were playing but he sounded much sharper in front of goal might of been Bury or Yeovil game.

Fingers crossed he has managed to get his fitness up some more during his ban.

Not exactly doing well at set pieces at the moment are we. Don't get me wrong everything else is looking far improved compared to what we've had for a few seasons, thought Hoskins looked sharp too. Just hope we don't get too cocky before pig game, we perform better as the underdogs

Think I am happy to say I was wrong on Beattie.

I expected more from him by now and he has had a few chances where he should of scored.

Gutted really but one goal before the end of the season would be nice.

I said a long time ago that it would all end in tears.

We'd have been no worse off giving cameo appearances to some of the youngsters: Whitehouse, Ironside, etc.

Mind you, when the Club decided to take Beattie on, we didn't have Hoskins or O'Halloran.

Even Porter is scoring for the Reserves.

Beattie scored in the reserves to be fair.

Just hasn't done it in the first team for whatever reason.

Beattie is totally off the pace and shouldn't have been signed up. He's taking a place on the bench that could go to a player who could give the team something extra as a substitute - Porter, Hoskins, Flynn, O'Halloran should be all be in the pecking order ahead of Beattie.

Beattie isnt just here for playing, i know it sounds mad, but he's keeping others on their toes, and ive no doubt he's good for moral and advice, we forget how 'raw' ched still is. Wilson hasnt got much wrong this season and when we go up it wont matter anyway. quit the negativity and get behind them.

There is always the other side to it, which is an experienced old pro, with some kind of status (ex. international) that'll help and advise some of the younger lads (i.e. Ched).

Plus he's handy now and again when we need to win a free kick or need a forward who can head away an opposition corner :)

Yeah, can deffo see the sense in such a 'strategy' - bit pricey but beneficial nevertheless; shame he ain't playing up to his best though, but perhaps those days are long gone now o_O

They could have signed Kozzie for that role at a fraction of the cost and at least Kozluk is genuinely funny as opposed to being a top-hat. He'd have come in a lot more useful on the playing front too and probably done a better job than some of the tools - Hill, Williams, Ertl - we've had as stand in full back in recent weeks.
