OK let's take the analogy with Liverpool.

Yes, let's compare United with Liverpool (and Tottenham).

They've all lost stand-out players and, instead of investing the money back into buying one, maybe two, game-changers they frittered the fucking lot on a dozen makeweights.

And they're all much worse teams for it. Who'd have thunk it?

The city is famed for its humour. Where else would have produced such talent as Cilla "worra laff" Black, Ken "tickle stick" Dodd, Jimmy Tarbuck and the Liver Birds?

You have missed out the least funny, funny man ever - Stan 'I only have one joke, it's not really a joke and no one apart from scouters ever found it funny, irritating bastard' Boardman.
I have quite a few mates who are scousers, thankfully the majority of them are evertonians and quite level headed when it come to football. That said, it maybe a sweeping generalisation, but scousers do have a massively inflated opinion of themselves and In particular Liverpool fans. As much as I enjoyed watching them in the 80's, I thoroughly enjoyed them getting dumped out of the champions league the other night. Bleating, whining, thieving bastards!!!
....and not forgetting the never was funny and never will be funny John Bishop

Well makes you think Im in Spain and all the talk is of Real Madrid , setting a new record of 20 games 20 wins the first time the best club in the worlds ever done it in a league of clubs they are clearly better than ,
, yet some blades fans seem upset we cant win all 46 in league one
Can you name one united fan who is upset we havent won 46 games in a row
Or is this same level of infantile delusion you spouted about people not being happy unless we win every game 65-0 ?

Fatty Samuels I think called it right on the Sunday Supplement, they didn't replace their 30 goal a season striker. A classic case of not replacing what you have sold which I think we as blades fans can relate to. Instead they pissed their money away trying to improve the overall quality of their squad and it's failed.

They had to replace Suarez. They could have got Remy, they could have got Mandžukić but they bought Balotelli.
The point is though Bladesman, you can't replace what you have sold or there would be no point in getting rid of them in the 1st place. Unless your replacing them with better than what you had of course. That's going to cost money, but I get your point.

Well Mandzukic went for about 22 million euros to Atletico he was affordable for Liverpool. They could have bought him and still had change left over to buy say Lallana. Also I noticed they were rumoured to be in for Hummels now he would have improved their defence.

I think when you are a club like Liverpool who have not quite got the money to piss away like Chelsea, Man Utd and Man City then you have to do some shrewd business. They thought getting Mario would be great but he is just a flop and has never really been a prolific striker.
