United did lose their discipline that day. However, it has always incensed me that Warnock got all the stick for playing Santos, when he was the one who had been assaulted a year before. The gaping ginger cunt Megson was never criticised for playing the gyppo Johnson. It was a shame that Santos' tackle was not 6 inches higher.

United should have had Megson in court when he accused us of trying to deliberately have the game abandoned.

Wouldnt surprise me. Warnock's pre-match talks to the media inflamed things as he was talking about playing Santos hinting that he wanted revenge for what happened at the Forest match a year earlier. We will never know what Warnock whispered in Curle's ear (captured by the tv cameras) just after the three sending offs

Why? Can't you lip read and tell us?!

Someone will have to ask Colin then.

I think if you're pretending to be injured the last thing you do is nonchalantly jog straight off the pitch.

You would go down giving it the old agonised expression before being reluctantly helped from the pitch with your arm around the physio.

Like Ullathorne did if i remember correctly ? Not sure about Brown at all, and whether he was genuinely injured or not. Just a strange sight seeing him jog off, never to be seen until the start of the next season........

He probably said "He hates me, that Silent Blade, y'know.."
To be honest he was my choice to be our next manager after Bassett left us. I liked him until the eve of the West Brom match when I was concerned about his pre-match comments to the media

True! I remember that now! It's probably a good job his hand was there pal
Lipreading takes a lot of guesswork. Some people are really difficult to lipread even if they speak slowly. Never been able to lipread Warnock when he is talking to the tv camera so the subtitles help.

Jessica Rees was two years below me at my boarding school. She is a very good lipreader http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/programmes/newsnight/4626573.stm

Best 81 minutes of entertainment I've ever seen at Bramall Lane.

A certain Musical missed the game because he was out sabbing some fox hunters so he asked me to keep him updated via text. The trouble was as he was out in the sticks somewhere he had no mobile signal meaning that he only received my texts once he was in the pub having saved several bushy-tailed Beltane Foxes from certain death.

Therefore the first message he read was my last one of, "Ullathorne off, match abandoned! Fucking hell!!!" He then relived the whole match in reverse until he reached, "Shit, Tracey red card for handling outside the box."

Michael. Brown was injured he missed about 4 weeks after that game megaton failed to see 3 of his players throwing punches Utd said they wanted the result to stand and the 2 sent off never played again and the west rom chairman apologised for megsons outburst it was bad but west rom weren't the innocents they make out utb
