No brainer for me, most consistent performers over the last 5 years or so, bags of experience, and model professional

I would assume more than any new signings would get, given we've made a public commitment to cut the wage bill.

Not impossible Bash passes Monty. I think it unlikely Bill will, sadly.Update as someone else joins the 250 club.
Played at least one game this century and have 250+ league appearances for us:
Nick Montgomery 349
Chris Basham 334 and counting
Billy Sharp 333 and counting
Simon Tracey 332
Paddy Kenny 278
Phil Jagielka 270
Michael Tonge 262
John Fleck 250
Thought he was great against Preston - although they were awful .The ironic think is, everybody (don’t lie) had a Basham replacement in the back of their mind since he arrived, he’s seen off all comers and as we have eventually found that replacement in Anel…I would always find a role for Bash.
I do wonder if Billy will try and reach the 350 mark... it's a huge task though let's face it, even if he stays in the PL, started every game in pre season, and the rest of this season's fixturesUpdate as someone else joins the 250 club.

Billy should go out into the world and learn his trade as a manager/coach. You never know…We might need him again some day.I do wonder if Billy will try and reach the 350 mark... it's a huge task though let's face it, even if he stays in the PL, started everyay game in pre season, and the rest of this season's fixtures

Deffo has a role with us imo
How the fuck anybody hopes / wants to see Fleck, Billy, Enda, Bash & Norwood in our squad next season is beyond me.Hopefully as the tea lady. But definitely not on the football pitch.
Same with Fleck, Stevens, Sharp

Possibly explained by the transitional times for the club but there’s a glaring gap covering the ‘80s and ‘90s in the list above.Update: top 20 in league appearances for us, all time:

Alan Woodward 538
Ernest Needham 464

Graham Shaw 439
Fred Tunstall 437
Cec Coldwell 410
George Green 393
Bernard Wilkinson 373

Simon Tracey is just behind Sharp - he played 332 league games and would be 21st.Possibly explained by the transitional times for the club but there’s a glaring gap covering the ‘80s and ‘90s in the list above.
Harry Johnson 22nd?Simon Tracey is just behind Sharp - he played 332 league games and would be 21st.
Of that vintage, Tony Kenworthy, Paul Stancliffe, Paul Garner and Keith Edwards all played over 250 league games, but no one made 300 save Tracey.

Slight digression but it's interesting to note how many of the side from the Wilder years have had the most appearances in their careers with the Blades.
Kieron Freeman 111 (and weirdly seems unable to get a game elsewhere after leaving)
George Baldock 196 and counting
Enda Stevens 192
John Egan 208 and counting
Chris Basham 344 and counting?
Jack O'Connell 166
Ollie Norwood 187 and counting
John Fleck 252 and counting
Paul Coutts 124
Mark Duffy 111
Billy Sharp 335
Oliver McBurnie 130 and counting
Even Leon Clarke played more for us than any other of his numerous clubs with 88
