What a load of bollocks Barry Hartle played for United and is 81. Who'd have thunk reporters from the MEN could stoop to Sheffield Stir levels of getting it wrong?

Bang on Addison and metalbllade, he is indeed 81. What a load of shit reporting that is.
Age wrong, club wrong, what's the odds he doesn't live in Stockport either.

Npower can do 1. under their sponsorship we had a horrible time. relegation, 2 play off defeats (final & semi)

My Dad used to call him ’Braces’ because he was so skinny it looked like he needed them to hold his shorts up.

Old news and but still mistakes. He never played for the Pork and would be still have been in his 70’s ten years ago when the article aired. Shades of the Stir going on here.

Good player was Barry and good to know he is still with us.. .. was in the team when I started watching the Blades at 6 years old , he was a very good player would be Prem .standard in today's game.

In mine too JS. I recall that he and Ronnie Simpson used to used to battle it out for the number 11 shirt in a team where most players were fixtures. He was the trickier player but Ronnie had a a greater physical presence a d stronger on the ball.

I went in a pub , the King's Head in Marylebone around 2000 ish and there was a Blades badge behind the bar . I got talking to the Landlord who was an ex player of ours and I'm about 95% certain it was him.

He told me ' Beany' often popped in ....... ring any bells with our London types ?
