I don't know how Wilder is going to approach player aquisitions, but I'm not sure he can rely on finding discards and struggling players from the lower divisions who will suddenly come good in the PL.

Equally it doesn't make sense that Bannan would join us if he gets the same lack of guarantee from Wilder. We don't know what was actually said between the two, but I can't imagine Wilder told Coutts it would be like this season, with him being cover on the bench. For Coutts not to want to stay at United in the PL, he would have been told he wasn't likely to get on the bench barring injuries. Why would Bannan accept that? Unless of course the view is that he's much better than Coutts.

Johansen has just extended his contract at Fulham so will be expensive. I would have liked him to support fleck but we will spend our money elsewhere id guess
