CW has mentioned adding to centre midfield.
It isn't as daft as it seems.
At present we don't have cover for Norwood seeing as Coutts has been released.
We didn't have ideal cover for Fleck all last season - luckily he played 45 games for us.
Doesn't quite fit the young and hungry - but he's one of the few players I would consider at the right price.
As for the pigs saying we couldn't afford him - that is just bollox - every single player has his price. Very much doubt he would come to be honest but it does keep the porcine writers on porktalk busy shitting themselves.

He is poor, though. See, for example, the last two games vs the Pigs. He had no influence on play, was weak and stand-offish in the tackle, and unable to keep or distribute the ball. Fair enough, he was part of a weak side whose ambition was hobbled by apologetic management and a pisspoor game plan. Even within such limits, though, we could reasonably expect that Prem class--if that's what we're talking about here?--would show itself somehow. And it didn't.
Bannan is not a patch on John Fleck, and if we're looking for someone to drop deep in front of the defence and spray the ball (arguably Bannan's most plausible attribute) Ollie Norwood is much better at this than he is.
Bannan also has the Third Most Smackable Face in Football (after Foristieri and Reach).
It's a "No" from me.

no - but we have no cover now for Fleck and Norwood.
We have to bring someone in and there's no point bringing in someone who is clearly a make weight. Who ever comes in HAS to be capable of playing a decent game in centre mid.
A lot of our fans expect Fleck/Norwood to be ok - what happens if they struggle or more importantly get a serious injury?
Bannon for me? I'd rather not, but rather him than nobody.
