"The ground looked massive". Sure you weren't in S6 pal??

Can't ask for a kinder draw than that: just what I wanted.

Prize money doubled to £135,000 for winning a third round match apparently.
Not a financial game changer but not to be sniffed at.
Sort of dosh that might help cover a Prem loaning or similar.

Pity it wasn't Barnet away for another ground to tick off ... didn't we play Barnet in one of the early rounds on our way to the LC semi in 02/03, didn't TC's nephew play for them?

Why the hell would a prem loan player go to Barnet ?

Worth winning the cup now then

This season I'd rather us get the £1.8m or preferably the £3.6m than promotion to that prile of shite they call the Prem.

But, but I read we made over £5m in total for getting to the Hull SF. Are you saying that was wrong ?

Rumour has it that some of the games were on TV who paid money to show it and were attended by spectators who paid money to get in.

Check with Jim Phipps actually. He included all income from the Cup run in the Prince's investment figures.

Old Jim included money HRH could have taken out ( ? ) but didn't, as investment as well. Now that was embarrassing.

All those cup games were of course cost free to us. (Which is why I said "made" rather then received...... ) .

Still, it paid for the Desso several times ....

Looking prime candidates for last game on MOTD.

They HATE us....

That gives a total prize money of £6,795,000 to whoever wins it. Be nice, wunt it! Plus the TV money and gate receipts as well.

I seem to remember access to the away end at Cambridge involved rambling across a small piece of field/common land which was full of animal shite.

In a strange way this reminded me of Wembley without the field......

When it's a hot day, the ponds on that common release clouds of midges which used to work their way into the away end when it had no roof, making one of the worst away ends in football even worse.

Who do you reckon will get a run out for this game then?

Woodburn if he's still here, Leon, Stearman, Lafferty, Bryan if fit, Lundstram, and anybody who comes back from a loan in January.
