Some of these non-league teams will be a struggle to get tickets on general sale.

Surely even the non league teams would have more fight in them than the O's did yesterday

The best bit of the commentary yesterday was when the 2nd commentator said "Sunday league teams wouldn't even look at some of these Orient players" right before the shambolic back pass that led to the 6th :)

Stourbridge Away for me please (suspect it would be switched to Kiddiminster, Wolves or WBA)

Yep. I would like Stourbridge as a Halesowen boy it would be good to go back to the old place or thereabouts.

Second choice Luton as I could meet up with a mate who follows the Hatters.

I heard that on the highlights. Did they have a second commentator or was that someone in the studio with his mic left on? Seems odd to have a second commentator if they're only showing highlights.

Not the same though :)
Agreed. Though not the same competitive games I love watching the Blades at places like Worksop and Ilkeston in pre season. Proper grass roots football, non of this fake part time premier league we get subjected to

If we're drawn at home it's more than likely it'll be a Sunday again (unless it's TV game) as our hugely filthy neighbours are struggling at home again'hopefully' on the Saturday.

Borehamwood if they beat Notts county, away as its about 1/2 hour away from me so nice and easy to get to :)

I'll second that but it's even closer for me (15 minutes). I know of 2 other Blades who actually live in Borehamwood. Party Time!!!

I'll take Sutton away too, 5 minute walk from my in-laws' house. Actually, on second thoughts that means actually seeing them!!!

They're due to lose at home to Preston on the second round weekend so you're right.

Lincoln in FA Cup was a draw, think 1-1, we beat them in the replay at the Lane with a very late goal, if memory serves, from Stan the Man.

Think the 3-0 defeat was the previous season in the Group Cup pre-season.

You're right - it was a league match I was thinking about - 29th September 1983

Thought it was FA Cup -

1982. We won at Sincil Bank the following season

Right - I bloody know where I am now (senile old bastard  )
Went to game in 82 in the league where we lost 3-0 - This was the only game I have ever left early from as we were utter dogshite (as SouthEssexBlade so eloquently put it)
10th December 1983 was the time I ran for the train and felt dreadful after which I found out I had glandular fever - which stopped me playing football for almost a year :(
Since we are trying to be accurate - that date, 10th December 1983 was also the first time I had tasted Spag Bol - went to have tea at a mates house (Lincoln fan) who was at same Univ as me.
My first ever ruby (a vindaloo) was in 1983 on Derby road in Nottingham when at Univ and it was the same mate (the Lincoln fan) who introduced me to it.
Whoever knew that people from Lincoln were culinary gurus?

So its bang on that it will not be.... :(

The commentary was taken from local radio broadcasts, in this case Radio London so we can assume that the co-commentator was Leyton Orient's version of Keith Edwards.

Either one of Lincoln, Halifax, Blackpool or Accrington away would be good.

I know a couple of lads who are Lincoln fans so this would be ideal, and not that far away.

It wouldn't be a good draw although very convenient for Bert. Lincoln are on the up, so it could be very tricky.

Stourbridge potentially would be great...not sure they'd move the game though, i recall only a few seasons back they played Walsall at home in a 1st or 2nd round game which is a big local interest game for them (yes i know the Blades have 5 times more fans but... :) )

Hoping for Lincoln away. Seems to be a theme. So glad they got through. Would love that draw.

Lincoln away for me too. Or one of the tiny teams to come to the Lane.

If so be no report from me. have a family event i cant get out of
