Back Where We Belong

Been a bit bored today, and I was just thinking that I feel very comfortable with us playing and competing at the top half of the Championship. I found a table from last May that showed that our average English ranking was 32.26 over the last 50 years - my period as a Blade. I plotted this graph to look at the current and last 4 seasons and it shows how Tufty has basically got us back where we belong, and so we are now looking at upward ambition rather than resuming normal service!

We belong in the top division. Even now most of our history has been in the top division and we can more than match many of the clubs currently in the top tier in most criteria.

OK - I screwed misreading 1893 - 1934, but I don’t really think anything pre war is really relevant! The last 50 years is all I remember - I guess Fatty Foulke remembers before that!
