Instead of coming on here with negative comments about the blades, get behind them coz they bloody need it right now if we are going to climb out the 3rd tier this season.
If every decision the manager, players, owners, ref makes really pisses you off that much - move on.

far too much negativity when we need to be backing our team.

this is all

Just because I am critical on here doesn't mean I am not supportive at matches, however hard that is at the moment. If everything which said on here upsets you I suggest you move on

Well if everyone agreed to do as you suggest there would be very little point in this forum would there?

Although I suppose it could be re-branded as 'General Blades Compliments' ?

the OP wasn't directed at you as an individual, put yer handbag away!!!
there seems to be a core of people who come on here to slate everything this season, that's what im getting at.

That's their prerogative though. Particularly if they pay their money and go to games.

I've become increasingly more critical in recent weeks as I'm sick of the rubbish supporters are told only to find it's "same owd" yet again. I'm as big a Blade as you will find.....I attend home and away games and always get behind the players, I sing and shout encouragement until my throat is sore. I have every right to be dissatisfied with the crap we're having to watch and listen to. This forum is a good place for me and other people to vent.....when I go to a game I leave it on here.

That's it though, several of the main moaners haven't been for a while or have been on rare occasions. OK, so they can still have a go, but sorry, it doesn't carry as much weight as us poor sufferers who attend regularly. (NYB suffers from Bigger Blade syndrome)

It doesn't mean that their opinion is any less valid than yours or mine though. Different people have different circumstances. Some can't afford to go for instance, or live too far away and have too many commitments. I don't like this assertion that someone is less of a Blade because they haven't been to games for a while, hence they're not entitled an opinion. Those that have chosen to stop going because they're sick of the same old shite.....good for them. More football fans (not just Blades) should vote with their feet. The whole sport is a fucking shambles and those of us that go are taken for mugs *raises right hand*

Turn down the testosterone feller you'll give yourself a hernia.

When you have rectified your sense of humour by-pass you might find you enjoy a bit of reasoned debate and constructive argument with other posters - don't just come on here and slag people off - it's a bit churlish to equate disappointment and frustration vented on here with actual activity and support for OUR club.

Too right.

Go Blades, go Blades rah rah rah. There, thats a ten match unbeaten run sorted out.

We'd be eighty five points clear if it wasn't for the fucking bumclots dragging us back all the time.

Typical clapper who still things everything at united is Ok. Wake up and smell the coffee. The players, the board and manager have all been under performing and need telling the truth. By getting behind them only fuels their belief that their performances are ok, that it's ok for a over 30 to stop putting in the effort now that he has his 3 year contract, that it's ok for the manger not to motivate the team, it's ok to bring subs on in the 89th min when we're 2 nil down, and that's it ok to run this club into the ground by selling all our best players and not reinvesting the cash.

The more noise we make on how bad the club has become, the greater the chance they will wake up and sort it out.

Didn't KM bring this up in the season we was relegated from the championship that true blades are only those who turn up every home match and pay (lining his pockets with cash )

3rd tier football and dropping = huge testosterone levels!

Not exactly, although he may as well have. It was more the commercial department's tagline for the season ticket promotion. If I remember right it was "True Blades are at the Lane" - whilst I realise the intention was only to motivate supporters to buy ST's....I still found it a bit disrespectful to those Blades who support the club fervently but cannot attend for genuine reasons (and there are plenty of those).

As it goes I did buy one but I would have anyway. I'd had a season ticket for about 20 years up until the current season. Couldn't afford one this time around but I've still managed to get to nearly all of the home games and a couple away this season. Given recent events at the club I'm really rather glad I'm in the position to choose this year!

i don't disagree that we have underperformed, - if only the season finished at christmas
as a blade im clinging onto the hope we can get behind them and push for promotion still

I agree with the sentiment that we're all Blades and hence entitled to our opinion but not necessarily with the view that all opinions are valid. Like many, I don't follow the Blades away and have to rely on Shoutbox for real time updates. Some of the comments on there could only be valid if the author was actually at the game but they clearly aren't and it's the same old names / negativity every week. They're the ones that I object to.

You're right. We still haven't shaken off all the plastics from 1925 who seem to think we have some sort of god given right not be shit for 88 years.

The final straw for me was our last visit to Wembley. Although many Blades will have lived longer and seen more than me I've definitely been through it. I've been present for every crushing disappointment they've inflicted on us for the last 20+ years. Losing on penalties in a third tier playoff final from a position where victory was virtually handed to us on a plate....that was an insult beyond pretty much anything I've experienced. It's like they find new and inventive ways to disappoint us each time.

With all due respect. I come on here to voice my opinions whether pissed off or happy on all things regarding SUFC.
I respect a large majority of people's opinions on this forum, but, i certainly don't need you to tell me to, 'Move on' if something i post on here doesn't comply with your views.
Just my opinion. ;)

Such pain. I remember being stood there, totally adamant we would lose on pens. When they missed their first three, I could'nt believe it, I thought "Jesus Christ we're gonna do it, we're gonna bloody do it!" Should have known better than to hold any hope for the cunting blades.

i had the exact same reaction to my mate next to me.... i was convinced it was our time

So we have to back the team or move on ...................................................where to?
Do we have to go to BDTBL and clap like seals or is that not essential?
If I happen to think that:
  • The owner of the club is slowly milking us dry because he wants his money back (God help Chelsea if Abramovitch ever wanted to cash in his investment and reclaim all the dosh he has put into the club)
  • The manager has little or no motivational skills, tactically inept and has a great line in bullshit!
  • The team can only be likened to a shower of sh!te lacking the basic passing skills, shooting skills and general footballing skills and pace one would normally associate with a professional club
  • There is no heart, committment or passion in the players and are quite happy to stroll around the park.
  • The coaching staff obviously struggle to remedy individual errors or teach new skills as the players make the same mistakes week in week out
  • Generally the club couldn't give a toss about the core 18,000 fans that turn up week inweek out to see them capitulate against the footballing giants of Hartlepool and Yeovil
I don't go to clap rubbish I go in the hope that there is a better tomorrow, that amongst the dross that is Williams, Doyle and Westlake there may emerge another Kyle Walker or Jags or TC and that despite the consistant failures over the last 40-50 years there may be just one success a cup final win, a play final off win, promotion back to the Championship - That's what I go for - don't tell me to move on!

If shouting and screaming was all it took Sheffield United would have won the Champions League years ago. If the players are bobbins and couldn't give a shit, you shouting their name to the tune of Agadoo aint gonna change that.

When they missed their first three, I could'nt believe it, I thought "Jesus Christ we're gonna do it, we're gonna bloody do it!"

So did I. My exact thoughts at the time were that surely even United can't fuck this up..........and yet against all the odds they somehow managed to strengthen my belief that they are capable of fucking anything up. The day I witness a United win at Wembley I will want it in writing before I'll believe it.

I am always amazed by the number of posters who cannot accept that it is possible to give the team full backing at games and at the same time be critical of the way the club is run.

Absolutely spot on. If we follow the advice of the OP, we'd better close S24SU down. It's all about discussing the issues. None of this should influence the way we behave during the 90 minutes.

Even when they missed their first 3 I thought "we'll fuck this up". I don't think I could expect any less of United these days...:)

Once they had got back in it and drawn level you just knew what was coming. Only one outcome after the tide had turned. I walked out of stadium in silence and said nothing to any of my family for about an hour. It was only when our van was on it's way home that I suddenly bust out laughing. When asked why, I just said....."why did we think it was going to be any different this time? We're a right set of nob heads." :D
