This has got to be one of the worst windows in recent memory.

Are we actually going to make any signings (other than the wolves loan)?

And does it matter?

We're not going up, and we're not going down, so what's the panic?

May as well sit tight until summer and have a full and proper review then, although the preparation work does need to start well before summer.

Only need player now if they're on our wanted list for next year.

Surely we're only one or two defeats away from refusing to play loan players/anyone not going to be here next season?

Loaning out One is a funny one, as I'd rather have had him getting game time with Bamford/Cannon ready for next season rather than sat on the bench at Lincoln.

If we're wasting game time on the likes on Ings, Ogbene, Bindon, Mee - then we're wasting the opportunity to be in a position to come out flying at the start of next season.

I see your point mate, but I just don't buy into the "wait til summer', why not get them in now so they can start geling and we can have a decent tilt at the title next year.

If there were good players available for next season I would agree , but I doubt there are and summer is the time to find them.

One of the better ones I suggest. PB / JR / KP are all quality additions to the first team. The two full back covers strengthen the squad.
What more could we reasonably hope for ?

Yeah that is my worry.

Don't get me wrong, I am really happy to get both Rothwell and Phillips, even if I am more intrigued by the latter at this stage. But I would have forgone one of them to get a pacy winger through the door.

The squad would have been perfectly balanced then.

Possibly, but I still think there's an outside chance that we'll be there or thereabouts for scraping in. Even if we don't make it there's more incentive to go to the remaining games - and unlike the summer signings, I will at least be able to recognize most of the new players.

That's easy, just look for ones that aren't walking or limping be quick though, they'll soon blend in

I’m chuffed to little mint balls about it all. Like a lot of posters, I think we’ve left it a bit too late to make the playoffs but hope springs eternal.
Brilliant too to have kept hold of key players until the summer at least.
Having Rothwell and Phillips can only be a good thing, but I hope Wilder can juggle personalities as and when players are left out. ( I say personalities rather than egos because I believe Peck and Jairo are professional enough not to chuck their toys out of the pram.)

I don't think One has shown enough to deserve to get close to playing. He's a central striker not a winger and Selles played him out wide which was completely ineffective.

He needs game time so getting him out on loan makes sense

I mean, i'd say he's shown far more than Ings who's actually started games for us .

Whilst Ings hasn't been a success, he's been better than One from what i've seen.

I guess that is also true from training as well
