At the risk of being controversial, I thought it might be interesting to have a thread about football!
On putting together the final stats for the season I noticed, maybe not surprisingly, that we had no wins away against any of the 9 sides above us. If we hadn’t won today we wouldn’t have an away win against anybody in the top half.
Then I looked back at last season, when we were all-conquering, and again, surprisingly this time, we had no away wins against anybody above 7th.
Maybe we are a bit naive thinking we can play our own game against decent teams who will come at us at their place. We’ve had our pockets picked at The Lane often enough. Maybe we should try it.
Still, if Sir Chris goes to Sunlan we can have FLN or somebody similar next season and play the other way both home and away!
