If,and we know its a big if to some on here,we go up,what the hell are we going to do with away fans?

Myself,I would just give them the bottom like in the prem,but.....

Your opinion?

They will be put in bottom tier like last time we were in the division.

I think the main issue this year has been cost cutting and saving. To put them in the lower tier requires more police and stewards - meaning more expense. When we're back in the championship, we will be generating more revenue, getting bigger crowds and bigger away followings, which will offset the cost.

I thought the South Yorks Police put us on a warning about the away fans clashing with police and stewards when coming over the barriers at the bottom tier of The Bramall Lane end? Wasn't there talk of them not signing off on the Ground Safety Certificate if we didn't make alterations, that was the reason for putting them in the top tier.

Assuming that this is correct , and I've absolutely no reason at all to suggest it isn't , does this mean it's costs the club less in stewarding and policing if we put our own fans in the lower tier ?

Also bear in mind when we were in the PL the bottom tier held 2,990
This season the max allowed in the bottom tier is 2,200 due to netting.

If we charged £30 are less then loads of clubs would bring more than 2,200.
So it's lost revenue AND as mentioned before I believe policing costs shoot up if away fans are in the bottom tier. An option could be to charge £40 then it would reduce demand and 2,200 should be enough at rip off prices bit then we'd need to charge home fans £40 a match too.

Segregation and flexible away allocations seems to be real problem these days.

Why though ?

What problems have we had since weve been relegated from the PL that's forced our current stringent regulations ? Granted there were some pretty serious outbreaks of disorder before promotion to the PL , but after ?????

Are we currently feeling the fallout from revelations regarding SYP's lamentable historical track record ?

Ahhh South Yorkshire Police .......that bastion of virtue, competence and astute leadership !! They must have the answers to proper crowd management as their superb track record of this is world renowned !!

We'll give them top and bottom. No way are the club going to turn down 4-5 thousand away fans from the likes of villa pigs derby forest etc

I just want us to find a solution that allows our fans to have season tickets on the central part of the upper tier.

What's the weather like in Rochdale and have you seen that video by the Bolton kid?
