Not watched the clips yet, but if the GOTS is the halfway line in the cup, I've seen much better this season than a pot shot catching the keeper off his line.

Great goal just not the best.

Never been a pot shot 😂 he brings it down , looks where Beadles about is , has a touch then cuts across it as he shots to send it curling away from Beadles about . Not one other player we have could’ve done that in my opinion! Some people moan and pick faults just to do it imho . Deary Deary me !!
As ever UTB !!! 😂😂😂😂

Further proof it wasn't just a pot shot was interview with Gus , where he says that Matt Duke had pointed out how far the Birmingham keeper was coming out , , ( great goal )

Because the % chance of scoring is minuscule.
I might be in the minority but I don’t agree. I think it’s because most people don’t attempt it. How many times have you seen someone try and fail from half way line? Not saying they’re not good goals but don’t think they are as impressive as much as memorable. For example, take Beckhams halfway line goal and compare to Brown’s volley against the pigs. Latter is much more difficult and impressive in my eyes.

Go and have a go today. See if you can kick a ball into an empty net without it bouncing. They make it look easy but its not. That's why most players don't try it.

Don’t you think the reason they don’t attempt it is because the chance of scoring is so small?

Firstly the keeper has to be out of position. Then you’re relying on perfect technique and connection with the football. At that distance wind factor and the modern footballs tendency to curl come into play.

Everyone’s seen footballers attempt things like the crossbar challenge from the half way line. No opposition and the majority of them don’t even hit the target, never mind the crossbar. That’s with zero game pressure.

Modern day footballers have plays and patterns drilled into them to create situations where they’ve got the best chances of scoring.

If scoring from the half way line was easy or had decent odds you’d see it every week and pep wouldn’t have invetented high press tikka taka, he’d just have Haaland stood on half way line.

Nip down the park today and take 10 shots from the half way line and then come back and tell us it’s easy.

Not saying it’s easy just that there are lot of goals I’d put in front of the half way lines I. Terms of stuff the normal person couldn’t do on a football pitch. And I stand by the argument that give 100 ‘normal’ people a keeper off his line or a ball dropping awkwardly (ie Brown volley) and considerably more will end up in net from the long range option.

It's goal of the season not "team" goal of the season. Maybe next year they'll have strike, volley, header, miss hit, sitter, penalty and all players touched the ball before it went in....goals of the season.!!!

Anyone on here go to this? Not sure how true but was told tickets were £175 +vat?…is this right?
