Just browsing through the figures on the BBC website. Blades average down slightly from 18,701 to 18,611 - not bad considering the quality of football vs 2011/12?

Obviously best in League 1 by miles, and only bettered by 8 teams in the Championship:
Cardiff, Brighton, Derby, L**ds, Leicester, Forest, Wolves & of course our MASSIVE S6 neighbours.

Wonder what sort of figure we'll be looking at next season?

I was looking at that before and like you, was surprised the figure was only a large handful down on the previous season. Not sure what the figure was last season but a large proportion of that would have been season ticket holders and that will be a big factor next season. Of course, the incoming manager will have a big bearing on that.

Attendances have been great at united, to be fair its a miracle that we have such loyal fans with what we see on the pitch.

Only about a dozen or so teams in the country can match or exceed our crowds when in the same division. And interesting that we averaged more than many so called big clubs even though we were in a lower division.....Palace, Bolton, Blackburn, QPR, Ipswich, Charlton, Middlesbrough, Birmingham and Premiership-bound Hull.

What is interesting is Wednesday in 2010/11 in league one with no local derbies only averaged 17837

So who is really blessed with a better core of supporters

Yeovil going up with 4062 average shows gate size counts for absolutely zero
