Bit pessimistic that. I went for:
25k Charlton
22k Millwall
23k Cov
30k Bradford
30k Chessy

It deserves its own thread at the end of the season but let's say conservatively we do end up averaging 21,604.

Let's compare it to other big clubs that have recently been in league 1 and their average during the season they gained promotion

Nottingham Forest 19,956 (after 3 seasons in league 1)
Wolves 20,879 (after 1 season in league 1)
Sheff Wed 21,336 (after 2 seasons in league 1)
Sheff Utd 21,694 (after SIX seasons in league 1)

Just proves that we have fantastic support even during our wilderness years.
Not many clubs outside the top 10 biggest clubs could average 20K every year when down in league 1.

Good post. One error is you've added a further 90 to our average from the start of your post compared to the list of teams.

Tonight on Football Heaven there'll be a load of you know who on complaining that the Blunts are exaggerating their attendances.

To offer some balance there are 2 clubs that will have averaged more than us in their promotion season from league 1

Leeds 24,818 (after 3 seasons in league 1)
Norwich 24,671 (after 1 season in league 1)

But we have better hardcore support than both Leicester and Southampton

Southampton 20,982 (after 1 season in league 1)
Leicester 20,253 (after 1 season in league 1)

Our average is now 20,955. Quite outstanding. Might be well over 21,000 by season's end? How high could it go, you stattos?...
The Chessy game will be the biggest crowd of the season and if they are aready relegated, we might have the ground to ourselves.
I would also give Bradford the whole Bramall lane end. If just to piss Bolton off a little bit more.

Good point. I'd offer Bradford the away end when we play Coventry too, on the same basis.

Bolton ought to be more worried about how many tickets they'll get at Scunny in the playoffs.

Bradford should easily have a 4,000 to 5,000 demand for our Easter game.
So it's looks gauranteed to be a sell out with some fans not lucky enough to get tickets

The ground holds 32,700 but I reckon for this match even selling every ticket it'll still fall short of 30,000. The SY Police will no doubt put netting over 3,000 seats.

Love the thought that Bradford fans will want to come and watch us play Cov ;)
