What is?It's because season ticket holders get counted whether they are there or not.
I didn't. I didn't hear Gary Armstrong say anything. In fact, I don't even know who he is!Anyone hear Gary Armstrong announce todays attendance of 23k as "the highest of the season"?

I loved the slopeheads derisively cheering our attendance until the few that could count realised that today's attendance was more than Oakwell can hold.
You certainly couldn't fit nearly 10,000 more people in, unless my eyes deceive me. The Southampton game last season was similar. I think we got 22,000 roughly but it seemed quite a bit more, fortunately it won't make a blind bit of difference to what we spend next year, the board will decide that no matter what attendance gets announced. The attendance of 23,307 included 3,694 dingles.
This means 19,613 home fans.
And yet the South stand was much fuller than recently (acid test is the gents at half time which were rammed compared to the last few games), the kop was significantly fuller, as was the family stand.
No way we only had about 1-2k more than a typical game with 30 away fans of late.
I'm wondering if they no longer count season ticket holders twice if they actually turn up?

Bradford home game Att. 24,777
Or the fact that if you didn't count our one eyed neighbours, more Blades probably turned up to watch us against Oldham*I loved the slopeheads derisively cheering our attendance until the few that could count realised that today's attendance was more than Oakwell can hold.
V Walsall the attendance was counted at 19,000 yet it looked like there was only 16,000 there.
