Just wanted to say what a pleasure it was to play at Elland Road yesterday.

Yes I cant ever remember in my 55 years of watching the Blades feeling so much excitement and passion and to beat both Wednesday and Leeds away a few weeks apart is beyond my wildest dreams !!It’s a pleasure to be at these games, even after the forest defeat it was pride and respect shown between fans and players.
The Pigs and Leeds wins & atmospheres have been the best in my life. I thought last season would take some beating but this is special.
What a turn around from the shit we’ve had to put up with. So proud of my club.
For 32,000 home fans, I thought they could’ve made more noise to be honest but they didn’t really have much to shout about.
Apparently, they only had 7 touches in our penalty area, that’s brilliant Blades.
As a home support that was one of the best I have witnessed. Loud and hostile, which definitely swung a few of the referee decisions their way. In comparison to Hillsborough I’d say Wednesday match it for volume but are more happy clappy, bit like US sports fans.
American sports culture will never come close to ours, ever.Speaking of US fans, I watched Atlanta United v Columbus Crew in the MLS Cup.
Atlanta United are only 3 years old as a club. They play in a very impressive new stadium which they share with the NFL team.
Yet thousands and thousands of their fans were standing up all game, all around the ground. It was hard to see clearly but I'd say at least 10,000 of them were, probably a lot more. They made a decent amount of noise.
But no doubt people in this country will mock their fan culture while we generally sit down in silence to watch our teams every week.
From what I can see they're getting it more right than we are. Not that that's a hard thing to do.
Look at the Birmingham fans now, all stood up. Every side of the ground.
That's how it should be in a derby game. It should go without saying. Especially in a country that sees itself as the birthplace of football culture.
But when it comes to the Sheffield derby about 90% of our fans will be sat down. Even on the Kop. It's very disappointing.
Generally, they are. Chants aren't started by people sitting down. Sitting and singing isn't natural.
But plenty of our fans stand at the back of the Kop.
Yep, and they aren't the only ones singing are they?
