At present our squad is weak?

Is our squad weaker than last year at present with all the teams around us bringing real quality in
 



Sooner have our squad than a lot of what the others have .few more to come yet patience!
 
I think we need a striker and cover for Fleck as Freeman has gone , Osborne is ok at left back but at best average in a more forward position . On the plus side we have Sander pushing Lunny so i think we have about the same Quality as last year which served us well . The other teams my be bringing in more perceived quality but that was the case last year and it didn't work out for the most of them .
 
GK and defence - Very good, proven PL quality. Good addition at GK.
Midfield three - Fleck, Berge and Norwood - good proven quality. Berge could push on to be a top talent. Fleck in form is class. Need some reinforcements / back-ups.
Up front - McBurnie should continue to improve and looks good at PL. Mousset an enigma but when on form is a handful for anyone. McGoldrick and Sharp the supporting cast for me. Need competition for Mousset and McG.

We’re light on numbers but generally in very good nick. 👍

We need some pace, athleticism and 4 or 5 reinforcements. Probably another playup top.
 
No team has been what you would exactly call heavily active this window. I think that is primarily down to finances for most clubs being a little tighter than usual due to COVID. At the end of the day, will say it again I am quite confident that CW and company will have us being very prepared in all areas for Wolves.

More significantly though I don’t think we can expect to keep as many clean sheets next season. The defence played above itself and we were also lucky with injuries. Opponents also know what to expect from us now. So we need to improve our quality and squad depth significantly otherwise it could be a struggle. More creativity and firepower is top of the list.
 
Aside from Chelsea/Arsenal & the newly promoted clubs I am not aware of anyone else making lots of signings.

Yes I think we need 2/3 additions, but playing the long game may mean that we miss out on a couple but probably means that we do not overpay.

Technically "yes", but other than Henderson, we haven't lost a first team player. Certainly not a regular starter.

This is brilliant. Just shows that we need a bit more quality for the bench than those who have left!

Lundstram's going nowhere, unless it's part of a swap deal IMO
Won't be missed if he does go, IF, we get a decent replacement

Yes we are light on numbers ... we didn't have many injury problems last season and we really need that again!
 
I think we’re in a good spot - no desperate holes to plug now we’ve brought Ramsdale back and a sprinkling of premier league quality and experience throughout the squad.

We definitely have the finances to strengthen, I think we’re just waiting for the right opportunities. We can afford some patience to allow the market to settle.

I personally think as the end of the window approaches, clubs will start being a bit more reasonable with their valuations in order to secure their finances in these uncertain times.

The question is, will players/agents be a bit more flexible with their demands in order to secure a premier league move to a club on the rise with a highly respected management team? Depends if clubs like Fulham and Villa keep chucking silly money around on squad players, I guess.

I think our patience and prudence will be rewarded in the long run, as has already been shown over the last couple of years.

This is a good point. OK, for me, my current concerns I think stem from needing a few extra bodies in the door, we feel light. And secondly, those bodies being good enough to push the current starters - yes, we did exceptional last season, but Wilder is the first to always talk about not standing still. I want a few in, to make those starters earn their place.

This is a good point. OK, for me, my current concerns I think stem from needing a few extra bodies in the door, we feel light. And secondly, those bodies being good enough to push the current starters - yes, we did exceptionally well last season, but Wilder is the first to always talk about not standing still. I want a few in, to make those starters continually earn their place.
 
The squad is obviously weaker we're short on numbers. The first team is fairly similar, if not a bit better.
 
As long as we get a DECENT striker in before the season starts (or end of the window at the very latest) I’m happy. We can’t afford to be one of the lowest scoring teams again.
 
Hasn't our team been "weak" (at least on paper) for a long time anyway? But with good management and tactics that is irrelevant anyway. As long as I see them giving 100% effort and commitment, and I am entertained most of the time, I don't care if we don't bring anyone else in. However I would like to see a striker and/or a creative midfielder... still a month left anyway.
