I'm sure I'm not the only one but let me tell the story from an expat Blade perspective. It's difficult living all the way over here in Australia (well, life is great but you know what I mean...!) to be missing the banter, excitement and local coverage which goes with being a local supporter. I moved here around 15 years ago and was privvy to our 1st season back in the premier league (Hulse's headed equaliser goes down in memory watching with Liverpool supporting expat mates) and watched numerous games when live on TV/streamed or listened through Bladesplayer.

HOWEVER - this year is different because of iFollow! Yes the mystical and contentious live streaming service many locals are scratching their heads over and asking what its all about! I have no idea if it'll work btw, I'm just praying it does. For the first time ever, I'll be able to watch EVERY game live, witness the goals, tackles, celebrations, mistakes, heartache and rest of the match action.

I don't want to preach about how important iFollow is for us expats but it's certainly a massive game changer in keeping us engaged and focused week in week out. I can't wait for midnight tomorrow!

totally agree pal, im in france so can make it home for a few games a season, but always feel a bit left out on here when talking about the match, only so much insight you can offer when you dont see the full game often, as you say its a long time since ive looked forward to a season more, even if your not there in spirit at least you can pay your way and feel like a fan again

You're in for a real treat watching the United matches live.
We have a fantastic midfield who are all comfortable on the ball with quick one touch passing.
In fact almost every player is very comfortable on the ball (apart from Hanson and maybe Basham).

I really look forward to the matches too because I know I'm gauranteed to see some entertaining football.
Wilder has totally transformed the club and has us playing some great football playing as a team.

Get the bar b que out, fosters, and celebrate oh and by the way chuck me a mystery bag on :-)

I live a good 2 hours away, can I not get ifollow? Not good enough United.

Could be really good. We'll have to wait and see what the stream is like. I daresay in the early days there may be the odd issue, but I'm sure they'll sort it. I am in near Grantham at the moment so it will be fab if I can get it to work and don't get my account closed.

But you're still missing out on the greatest pleasure of all, that of buying your mates a pint before the game. So send some money behind the bar to The Devonshire Cat with password (Ucandomagic) - don't tell it to anybody else - and we'll raise a few glasses of Deception with a G'day G'd Health to Melbourne! Then you'll have enjoyed a proper match day!

Ditto. Moved abroad in May and will, oddly, be able to see every match of the season for the first time in my life.

Me too, just hope our players are good enough to make the step up
