One player many fans think is crap (due to poor displays for England), is Stuart Downing. But whenever I see him in club football he's been excellent.

As for Saturday, I think weve got a chance which probably means we havent. Thinking back to the games against Man City when they had Sven or Villa when Liddell scored twice, this Villa side are the sort of team we used to give a real goosing.

I watched Chelsea v the Villa at the weekend and thought you were unlucky, the biased ref obviously wanted Chelsea to win.
It was good to see your lot roughing up the over paid super stars of Chelsea.
Whilst we're currently having a crap season, beware the Blades when we fancy a cup run. By all means bring your Premier league stars, it'll be good to see some of the decent England youngsters that you have, but they need to be ready for a proper game, the Championship may not be as pretty as that there Premier League with all its money and fancy dan foreign owners, but we have the heart and spirit.
Ps tell the lads like Ashley Young to leave the gloves and neck warmers at home, its not football, its not English and its certainly not Sheffield and he'll only get kicked.

Yeah - Welcome on here AVFC, it's always good to hear from (civil) fans from elsewhere (Don't worry about Brownie - he's been ill with the snots over Christmas and is just in a really bad mood!!)
I'm not as optimistic as Swiss and expecting you to muller us. Mickey Adams will know that our season is now simply about not getting relegated to the level of the unwashed from Hillsborough, and he may well give the academy lads a run out on sat (3 were on the bench versus Donny). If you play anything like a full side I don't think we'll be strong enough to stand up to you.
The beer is just as good as ever - and the fans from this forum meet near to the Sheaf at the Golden Lion (about 200yds away). As others have said, don't expect the same fiery atmosphere as in past years - but if your lot come out with snoods and stuff, they will get crucified mercilessly!! The Blades may not be what we were a few years ago, but Sheffield ain't changed!!!

Hope you enjoy your trip to BDTBL . I've always had a soft spot for Villa from when I used to go out with a lass from Sutton Coldfield and they were all Villa fans round there - going back over 30 years mind!!
That lad Albrighton is class (got him in my fantasy team). Should be a good game but I would expect your lot to beat us if you come prepared, but watch out for our new Polish striker, Robert Kozluk, who is shit hot at the moment.

In all honesty i dont give a monkeys testicles what the result is i just hope adams uses his nogging and fields some academy players and leaves what little we have left of the first team at home to get some rest. At this moment in time the cup means nowt and we should be concentrating on the league

One of the best home games of the prem was when we drew 2-2 with Villa, what a match. The 3-0 away defeat at your place though was one of the biggest rapes of a football team I have ever witnessed. Im suprised the pitch was'nt cordoned off after for forensic examination. Fantastic day out but the worst blades performance in the history of man.
