Please no.

Past it, could only play one position... and I just don't like him.

Legs went about 2 years ago.

I think there are better options to provide Prem experience - his colleague at Everton who has also recently been released for one.

He started and captained Wales this evening, somewhat surprisingly in for Mepham. He wasn’t the poorest, but didn’t have a good game – lots of confusion in the box, very little organisation from him tonight.

The one person in that Wales team I thought would make a decent signing for us was Joe Allen. Lots of PL experience, at 29 he's still got his legs, would probably be interested in a return to the PL rather than staying at Stoke, all round decent player. No idea what his contract situation is though but we need one if not two more midfielders.

The modern day equivalent of Malcolm Barrass .

It's a ' For God's Sake NO ' from me .

Why, because despite having experience at the top level his form has fallen off a cliff. His 'experience' of dealing with 50m players means nothing because he can't deal with them himself, so how is he supposed to pass any knowledge down.

He is the kind of player that fits a club, was fine for Swansea, awful everywhere else.

I'd rather bring Shaun Murphy back at his current age.

Think he thought you were referring to Duffy

Williams was probably the worst centre half to appear at the lane this season. Clarke who barely got a game for us absolutely ran rings round him. Talk of him handling £50million strikers but he couldn't live with the £100k striker that we're trying to move on.

I like the Joe Allen suggestion though. By far Stoke's best player when they came to our place and would offer serious competition for Norwood. Whether we'd commit such a big chunk of our budget on that position might be another matter though.
