As we approach transfer 'deadline' day i am having a recurring nightmare that DCL is coming back on loan.
He would be about as good as we can get and is much higher up the football pecking order than
Hogan ,Gallagher, and even Abraham but he is a part of evertons first team squad and out of our reach

We can't afford the wages of DCL, one of our accadamy products

Are you seriously saying Utd should be able to afford the wages of any player that's ever gone through the academy? Do you think Utd should be able to afford Maguire's or Walker's wages? What about Sporting Lisbon - should they be able to afford Ronaldo's salary? How about AAS Sarcelles paying Mahrez's salary and Cobreloa paying Alexis Sanchez current wages?

If anyone thinks we'll sign anyone better than DCL they're in cloud cuckoo land. He's 10x the player Fletcher is by the way.

I don't reight rate DCL.
He's grown a hell of a lot as a player since he went to Everton. His performances at U21 level have been really good too.

He'd be great at this level and certainly a much better option than Ashley fecking Fletcher.

People who rate DCL baffle me. Look at his history and his stats. What is good exactly about them? If he wasnt an ex blade, people would be laughing..... he doesnt score goals, he doesnt make many key passes, doesnt dribble, gets tackled, alot, and loses the ball due to misplaced touches, alot.

And Fletcher much less impressive, a level further down the pyramid. DCL has been doing that at Premier League level jumping straight from League One, could argue League Two - he was never going to take straight to it was he?
If it's a shot between the two it's a no brainer.

I think Hogan is looking increasingly unlikely the further the window goes on.

I don't know man, for a striker he just seems to never score. Still not sure what his standout attributes are.

It could end up without any of wilders main choices, if so I presume an uninspiring loan until the end of the season as we have to have another striker in, shows how thin we are in the striker department if Leon doesn't play on Saturday and we get another injury or straight red we are really up against it, lets hope for a positive shift in the next few days because if an eleventh hour stop gap comes in for the season on loan some on here will go ape shit, and then blame mccabe, you see.

Got to factor in the fact he's playing against the best defences in the world week in week out.

Koeman, Unsworth, Allardyce and now Silva all picked him in the squad week in week out, whether he starts or not. He now has Cenk Tosun, Richarlison, Walcott to deal with in terms of competition and still gets picked in a star studded squad.

Four managers who've forgot more about football than we know all seem to see something in him. Allardyce even played him at right back!
He's quick, a willing runner, good in the air and people forget he's only 21.

I'm not saying I 'want' us to sign DCL may I add although I sound like his biggest fan.
But given the choice of him and Fletcher, hypothetically, it's a no brainer
