Despite getting battered by their team and them not really understanding the "support" concept of going to football, I have to really really praise the majority of Arsenal fans.
In all my visits down there, I have never known them to be anything but talkative and genuinely interested in the Blades as a club. The ones I've met have never been patronising or seemed to be looking down on us and have always been fairly well informed about footballing matters. I've never seen any real trouble between fans who are more than happy to drink together before the match.
During the match, the banter is childish and funny (as northerners, we don't have jobs and they pay our benefits... at least that's what I think they were saying
) but they were more than happy to shake our hands afterwards.
So Theo and Cardigan boy, plus the blokes we were talking to in the pub... cheers for doing your bit to make our day bearable. You are a credit to your club and I look forward to the day when we can visit your soulless bowl of a ground as equals
