I am very confident... BUT! I have two scenarios for you...

Scenario 1.
We beat the scum, but then go on a run of games without winning, finish 3rd, lose play off final v Huddersfield.

Scenario 2.
We lose to the scum, but then go on a run of losing only 2-3 of our remaining games, catch Charlton and win the league.

What scenario do you prefer? I know there will probably be some split decisions amongst us.. for me its Scenario 2.

If you put it like that, then Scenario 2 for me. Losing to them is horrible, but I like the idea of giving them a bit of hope/satisfaction then ripping it away by winning the league and going up while they fall out of/lose the play-offs.

This is not to say I want to lose Sunday though.

Draw well at least we replicate the reverse result. lose and we still perch above our skanky neighbours. You however (pigs) will have to be satisfied with swilling in your own shit in league 1 for a little while longer than we will. I think a Scenario 3 is emerging.

As things stand, and regardless of Sunday's result, it's looking like us and Charlton for auto with the other 4 in the play-offs as a gap is emerging to 7th.

So! The Blades go up automatically and get a mention under the 'Garden Tools for Sale' ads. in the Star. Radio Sheffield brush it aside, insisting that 'it's over. Let's concentrate on Wednesday's huge up-coming play off games.'

Naturally, Wendy get to the final. Special Edition of The Star is printed on blue-tinted paper. Howls of protest over Wendy's measly ticket allocation - 'We could have sold half a million!' - and a huge Civic Reception is booked.

Seriously, if this happened, our promotion could be overshadowed by the Massive and their pals in the local meeja.
